Student loan debt forgiveness

My son works for a guy who owns a medium sized company (Electrician) and he was saying he took out a hundred thousand dollar loan to buy a few trucks and expand his business, he is still paying the loan off and thinks it would be awesome if his loan was forgiven. He didn't go to college so he has no student debt, but he still has debt... what do you think?

Would it be nice if all loans could be forgiven

It’s nice that they want to cancel student loans. What about people who have paid off their student loans.

@Jonjdw sure would be nice if we could cure all cancer without invasive treatments. But what about people who have already gone into remission?

There are many ways to reasonably disagree with student loan forgiveness as a policy position. Fairness to people who have already gone through the system is a bad argument.

The best time to fix a problem is before it began. The next best time is now.
