28 people die everyday from drunk driving crashes ,maybe we should ban alcohol.
@kodiac

Update: Kodiak blocked me. I guess he can't stand the fact that he's guilty of false equivalency.

@LordShadowfire Very intelligent meme ,to bad you couldn't come up with it on your own .I'm not saying the circumstances are even close to the same .The point is in an equal amount of time drunk driving deaths will tripple mass shooting deaths . So why no calls to ban alcohol?
@kodiac You know we regulate both alcohol and cars, right?
kodiac · 22-25, M
@BohemianBoo You know we regulate guns ,right?
@kodiac Yes, but there are lots of loopholes, evident by how many people get guns without background checks.
And there are way way more regulations regarding cars than there are for guns. Seriously, if you want to compare this to car accidents, then you're making the argument that we don't have enough gun control.

@BohemianBoo Yes i agree the rules should be tighter ,but so should the ability to target obvious people who are high risk for violence all this woke bulkshit is letting people with obvious issues run wild. There are many loopholes in drunk driving laws also. The drunk that killed my parents was on his third dui.
@kodiac Bruh, what "woke" bullshit? The only people saying EVERYONE should have guns are Republicans. This is why I cringe any time someone says "woke" these days. It means nothing.
Most Americans agree that if someone has a criminal background or they have a mental illness that makes them more prone to violence, then that person shouldn't own a gun.
We can also expand the ACA so that people with mental illness can afford healthcare. But again, the Republicans are against this.
And yes, there are loopholes for car regulations too that we can crack down on. But this is an argument for more regulation, not less. And even with that being said, guns are even more unregulated than cars.
@kodiac If Shadowfire was incorrect In accusing you of committing false equivalency fallacy, as you pretend, then why did you block him? Your subsequent comment was wasted, since he cannot read it.

Ah, but you were. By bringing up the subject of alcohol-related deaths as a comment to a post regarding gun related deaths, you are drawing an equivalency. That equivalency is false. I understand why you would wish to pretend otherwise, but your subsequent comment confirms everyone's original suspicions:
The point is in an equal amount of time drunk driving deaths will tripple mass shooting deaths .
(Apologies for the spelling; it is his, not mine.)
As was previously stated. False equivalency. Driving whilst intoxicated is already illegal, whereas open carrying a large caliber rifle whilst mentally ill is not. Therefore, the situation is different. You merely assume that since both situations have death in common, they must be equivalent.

@kodiac guns, unlike cars, are made for one purpose - to kill - so reasonable regulation is ...REASONABLE!
kodiac · 22-25, M
@tindrummer I agreed that regulations are needed but that's not good enough for any of you .You just want to paint all gun owners with the same brush .Guns are not created to solely kill PEOPLE.

@CorvusBlackthorne I gave him plenty of time to respond ,dude is a constant shit stirrer and that's why i blocked. Edited for spelling to placate the grammar nazi.
