And while we're at it, make them swear that they'll take ZERO Money from people like Gates, Buffet, Soros, Bezos, Cuban, the Entertainment People, the Gaming Industry, Big Pharma, Wall Street Interests, Foreigners, Big Oil, the Banking Industry, Unions, and pretty much everyone worth more than $500k in US Dollars.

@badminton There’s nothing wrong with companies making political contributions as long as it’s all recorded and accountable.
Republicans were probably pissed off during the last election because all the big tech contributions were going to the Democrats. Even Republican CEOs were donating to Biden

@justanothername yes you're right because they knew that prices were going to rise in their favor. Wouldn't you donate money to someone who was going to keep you flush with cash while screwing over the poor and the middle class. Yes you know that you would.

Every lobby, the solar/wind/greenies, no money to or from Planned Parenthood, no money to or from PBS/NPR, no money from the Trial Lawyers lobby, no subsidies for farmers, no corporate welfare,
Simplify the tax code, make it flat so no one can cheat. If you made a dollar send in a dime.
No one in congress will even consider this even though it would improve things tremendously. Solving problems makes government less relevant. For the politicians, aggravating the problem gives them something to run on.

Ha! Like a swear or promise means anything coming from a politician.

Why stop with the gun lobby? I think all politicians should refuse any and all lobby money to influence the outcome of an election, or line their own pockets.
While we are on the subject, lets do the same with Planned Parenthood, and abortion activist groups who get taxpayer money.

Let’s add big pharma Who spends 50x that of the gun lobby or labor unions who spend 10x the amount the gun lobby does
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Ozuye502 Don't forget big meat and big baby formula....
CorvusBlackthorne · 100+, M
@sunsporter1649 Well, if someone had done something when the baby formula monopolies formed...
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@CorvusBlackthorne LOL, the goddamngovernment made it so difficult to make the formula most companies bailed
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
Lets make congress persons swear they will take no money from the cartels and close the southern border?
justanothername · 51-55, M
@sunsporter1649 Not realistic. Cartels is workable but not closing the borders. That closes off your cheap hard working labor supply.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
How about all lobbyists
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
Both sides accept dark money .
ddlknaz · M
@AthrillatheHunt Stop it all and level the playing field. Using contributions from voting citizens, and that has a cap.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@ddlknaz if only.
@AthrillatheHunt True. Campaign finance reform will, of course, apply to all parties and candidates.

And we can shut down the Clinton Foundation while we're at it.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
We're still waiting on schiffs undeniable proof.

Didn't the Supreme Court just rule that we can't?
Of course they did, ignore this. Howdare I add facts?

@RogueLoner You mean Associated Press, United Press International, The U.K. Guardian, NY Times, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, etc. All those 150 year-old professional news organizations? I really don't think they involved in some sinister conspiracy.
