We need to do something with the psychos with guns
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@JohnOinger Why don't you write a federal constitutional amendment that will reduce the number of problems you think people have as a result of having access to guns? Take some time and review the wording in the State constitutions and see what steps they have taken to address the problem. Then write yours and contact your worthless Congress Critters to get a constitutional amendment passed. You could even become a social media star as you publicize your idea.

@JohnOinger monitor the hell out of their Social Media! Red flag them and have law enforcement intervene before it's again too late!
@JohnOinger Example, "You can't solve a money problem with more money." Find out what 'caused' the money problem and address that. "Violence" is the problem, it's not going away. We have laws and people who break the laws are punished, pay fines, or go to jail or to prison. We have many jails and prisons across the country some filled to capacity. Having laws and punishments doesn't prevent some people from breaking the laws. Slap on the wrist to death penalty isn't working. We have many mental health facilities in every state. Many hospitals offer walk in sign up mental health services. Many health insurance plans have coverage. A small city that I used to live had CBS, Community Based Services that offered mental health services based on income, sliding scale. We have free suicide prevention hot lines. How do we prevent or lower the violence in a free society?

@JohnOinger The answer is to give everybody more guns!!!! Bazookas and flamethrowers and body armour!!!
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
@JohnOinger Australians staitically suffer more mental health problems than the US. This is not a mental health problem, it is an access to Guns problem.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Zeusdelight Exactly. Americans have ready access to guns and a willingness to use them with deadly force to settle disputes. When gun access is reduced, so will the number of gun deaths.

@windinhishair Disputes? Like me, when I'm gonna dispute the couple of methamphetamine tweakers breaking into my house to fund their next fix. Yeah, I'm gonna dispute that with my Kimber 45 ACP Pistola, with eight rounds of 200 grain +P Jacketed Hollow Points! And that's just my carry gun.

How about taking their guns away?

@JohnOinger

@windinhishair my dear friend. I do not live in fear. Quite the contrary. I'm just prepared to do what it takes to Always protect my family. It's happened only once in 2015 in New Mexico. Once is enough.

@Vin53 Never!
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
@Vin53 I love that we need a,gun buyback law
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Montanaman Seriously, your fear may be subconscious, but it clearly runs throughout your commentary.
Montanaman · M
@windinhishair No. Not fear. Its pure survival mode. You can't deny that crime in the US is outta control with drugs and violent crimes. Why set yourself up to be a victim, when you can be a survivor. That's strength, not fear.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Montanaman Violent crimes rates have been trending down significantly since 1990. Robberies are well below half of what they were in 1990 and continuing to trend down. What are you protecting yourself from if violent crimes rates are decreasing, while your fear is increasing? Why the need to protect yourself from hordes of invaders with multiple weapons if you can only use one at a time? A simple handgun or rifle should be sufficient.

I'm not armed and never will be. I don't go through life afraid to live.
