But never fear: Government officials testified Tuesday at Congress' first public hearing on UFOs in more than 50 years as part of an effort to be more transparent about investigations into "unidentified aerial phenomena."
Worth looking into, now that Picard and a handful of his crew, were transported to 2024, chasing a Borg attempt to re-write history. And who knew, turns out 7 of 9 is Lesbian.
Also, Q is dying, but turns out he’s a good guy after all
@LordShadowfire 39 states have medical use, and I think it’s 27 of those also allow recreational. Plus DC. So that’s already over half of America speaking up.
Given that x percent of the US population apparently believes that they have been abducted by aliens surely a Congressional hearing is long overdue.
Where x is any number greater than zero.
Of course the question is what exactly will they be discussing. I doubt that it will be a discussion of the question of why a quite astonishing number of people believe the most outrageous drivel without a shred of evidence.
@ninalanyon I think that from what I saw on the news, they're going to treat these unidentified flying objects as complete unknowns. We don't know for a fact that they are coming from another planet, and we don't know for a fact that they aren't. What we do need to know is, are they a threat?
That seems rather unlikely. Unless the laws of physics can be subverted somehow, an interstellar invasion is surely a bit hard to pull off. Similarly, if they are in fact terrestrial, then any source of high tech craft would surely have been discovered by now.
