Nazis want their country to military and political dominance over all others, and also to exterminate every ethnic group they dislike. Neoliberals want cooperation between countries, as well as peace and understanding between ethnic groups. Nazis favor autocracy, while neoliberals favor democracy. They're nearly polar opposites.

@Burnley123 Right, but what neolibs do vs what neoliberalism is are ultimately two separate questions. I mean the Communists & Fascists cooperated for a good while in WW2, and those are also wildly different ideologies.
@BlueVeins truth ministry?

@BlueVeins I mean, Pinochet was a dictator. He had economic advisors trained at the Chicago school. Freidman spoke glowingly about his record, as did Thatcher. It was more than just convenience.

We mostly agree and it's definitely not fascism. Pure neoliberals value the market above democracy and that is demonstrable.

@Burnley123 Interesting because here in Australia 'Liberal' = 'Republican' = conservative. Trump like our current PM here (hopefully voted out in 2 weeks) are classic neo-con's. Liberal in the USA must mean 'left wing' which here in Australia is 'Labor'. Liberal here means autocracy.

@checkoutanytime How is having a truth ministry neoliberal?
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@zonavar68 Liberal is such a flaky term!
zonavar68 · 51-55, M
@BlueVeins Ah you're talking about Ing Soc and the Ministries of Truth, Peace, Love and Plenty. ;-)

@zonavar68 And in the UK the Liberal party is generally centrist.
