A question for Americans. Which of these two tax plans sounds better to you?

President Biden wants to raise taxes on the wealthiest 0.01%.
That would bring in nearly a trillion dollars into the federal government to pay for vital programs.

OR

Would you rather go with the GOP plan as authored by Senator Rick Scott?
He wants to reduce taxes on the rich and raise taxes by $4500.00 for those families making $50k.

Which do you prefer?

Not being abysmally stupid, the first one makes a bit more sense to me. But those in lower tax brackets who are still voting Republican are clearly not that bright to begin with. Voting rich while living poor.

Why do so many people continue to vote against their own best interests? After all, the GOP is so transparent in their destruction of your country.

My opinion: 1) they are unaware and simply vote against anything Democrat, 2) they buy into the idea that rich people help the economy, or 3) they think they’ll be rich someday

It’s very weird because it’s been proven the rich do not help the economy. The rich help themselves.
@Randi1125 The verbiage over the fellow on the left is truer than not as far as motives, unfortunately. They’re basically willing to screw themselves, to make certain that groups they dislike don’t benefit in any way.

@bijouxbroussard brilliant!

Sad to say, half the American people will go down with the ship before agreeing to something a Democrat came up with. And yet the economy, pandemic, international reputation – all have improved incredibly under Biden.
@Randi1125 There have been improvements. But will the GOP admit that ? Never. They’re focused on non-issues like Hunter. Ironic, because they didn’t say a word about Trump’s unqualified children actually being given positions in his administration.

@Randi1125 They want to see the world burn even at the condition of getting themselves burnt in the process - just look how they've immolated themselves to covid trying to push the propaganda. Too bad (for them) that it turned fully on them.

@bijouxbroussard Crickets, huh? Not a peep about trump's grifting children. And you're right, rather than giving Biden credit for the improvements, they will blame him for the gas prices. You can't convince them he isn't responsible.

@Elessar They're succeeding. The world is burning to the ground as we type. So surreal.
