Mayor of Mariupol Vadim Boychenko said today that#Russian mobile crematoria have started operating in the city.

According to him, tens of thousands of people could have died in Mariupol and the cremation, "covering up the traces of crimes".

According to the council, Russia’s special brigades collect and burn the bodies of murdered residents. Tens of thousands of civilians may have been killed in Mariupol.

“The scale of the tragedy in Mariupol the world has not seen since the times of Nazi concentration camps,” Russians, he added, “turned our whole city into a death camp.” (The Kyiv Independent)

{@rodionomanovitch] this is wrong if true there could be war crimes to answer for these peoples murder and all the evidence has gone up in smoke literally [ sorry for the pun was in bad taste ] it does make you wonder what there russians motives are . a sort of clearing bodies to avoid vermin and diesease as a sort of sense of duty or something more sinister to hide as you suggest

@smiler2012 Following the outrage at Bucha , it looks like they won't be so careless with the evidence from now on. i.e. burning bodies
