@HootyTheNightOwl Well, firstly I didn't personally do any of the things you seem to be accusing us all of doing, And secondly I argued against a lot of the things and people you mention at the time they were doing them. I'm not entirely sure what you are trying to achieve by continually repeatedly restating the obvious and acknowledged facts of the failings of Western leaders.
You seem to be arguing that because we are less than perfect that we cannot expect any improvement from anyone. Is it meant to be some kind of analogue of Christ's injunction "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"? Perhaps you could explain how your way of doing things will result in a better outcome for the world than the way being argued for by almost everyone else here.

As a result, Russia cannot be defeated by armed forces, but it [u]may[/u] be possible to ruin their economy to such an extent that they are no longer capable of waging another war. But we must clearly see what that would imply. We must clearly realize that, for Russia, it's a question of "to be or not to be". They will do [u]everything[/u] to survive. Even a famine in Russia with millions starving and dying would [u]not[/u] stop them.

@RodionRomanovitch A lot depends on China's stance. They kind of want Russia as an ally and don't like the west. They don't care about Russia that much though.

I support the Ukrainian people and I think their allegiance with NATO is entirely justified. I would do the same if I was them.
