Russia is Europe's largest supplier of natural gas, providing around [b]35%[/b] of the gas used across the continent. The UK's reliance on Russian gas is far less significant, at just [b]3[/b] per cent. About half of the UK's gas comes from the North Sea, and a third is sourced from Norway.

It would need a good few years.
How long depends how much the government is prepared to put in and take a short term hit for long-term gain. We (the whole world) need to do this foe species survival, not just the Ukrainian part of it (though they are important!).
