Putin is getting desperate.
On day one of the invasion, Putin said that civilians need not be concerned. “Highly Precise” missiles would be used to neutralise the Ukrainian military, nothing more.
We’re now on day 8, and “precision” is no longer on the agenda. 100’s of confirmed civilian deaths, though likely much higher as emergency services can’t get near the wounded, courtesy of non-stop Russian shelling into civilian neighbourhoods (see Mariupol for reference).
It’s a tragedy with no real quick solution.

The International Criminal Court has opened an investigation into possible war crimes by Russia in Ukraine. Things have reached that level.
Having said that, i need to add this:
There are people on this site who sid with Russia and /or claim Ukraine is a Nazi-run country (with a Jew as President-that's really a stretch). They should be condemned, whether they are part of the Prog Cadre posting often here or "conservatives".

The sad part is Russia's army is made up of conscripts. They dont even want to be there!
So if youre going to fight then why not turn your weapons onto your own government that would force you to do these things?
Surely it takes just as much courage to bomb government buildings in your own country as it does to blow up a fucking hospital in a foreign one!
