When Trump was President gas was 2.36. Remember. Southern border secure. Afghanistan no deaths in almost a year. Oh yeah. You didn’t like him so look at the idiot you replaced him with.

The gas prices under Trump seem to keep falling lower and lower as time wears on. Now I realize we here in California always pay the highest gas prices, but as I recall they were in the $4 range most if not all of Trump's Administration, and around $4.50 at the end of his administration. Currently at $4.95. My experience hasn't been so much that gas has gone up under Biden as it is that Trump's gas prices keep shrinking in the rear view mirror.
@nudistsueaz We pay far more in Federal taxes than what we get back in Federal services -- as do most Blue states -- with the money going to subsidize Red states that pride themselves on not taxing themselves to provide services they take for granted. As for State taxes, our surplus this fiscal year is projected to be so large as to trigger a constitutional requirement to spend it or return it to the taxpayers. Trumpists may make cartoons and jokes about our high tax and regulatory climate, but by investing in our state we grow the 6th largest economy in the world -- if we shed the other 49 states.
@nudistsueaz Because we invest in infrastructure through bond measures, just like the average American invests in homes through mortgages, and corporations invest in production capabilities through stock and bond offerings. You spread the cost over years so it is more manageable. And the budgets aren't in the red, because they are covering the repayments.
@Slade Blackouts primarily are precautions against wildfires during windy high risk days during our severe drought days, which seems a more realistic approach than going after those Jewish Space Lasers. Brownouts are on extreme high heat days to keep the grid from crashing all together. The utility companies are private corporations, although subject to Public Utilities Commission regulations. And one recently committed to putting its high voltage lines underground at significant cost to eliminate the wildfire risk all together.
@sunsporter1649 And yet another demonstrates he has no facts to support the topic being discussed. Nor understands the topic he is trying to divert to was a red herring from the beginning.
