Who is the worst President in United States history?

While I'll freely admit Biden is well below average, in my opinion, Trump was far worse. But what do the experts say? According to professional historians, Trump is the worst ever. In 2018, a survey of 170 presidential historians ranked Trump LAST. And that was before Covid-19 and before his insurrection.

@sunsporter1649 No, but they're asking who
Promised a tax cut that pays for itself;
Promised to replace Obamacare with something better and cheaper that covers everyone;
Promised a trillion dollars worth of infrastructure spending;
Promised "We're going to see economic growth of 4, 5 & maybe 6%!";
Promised to reduce deficit and eventually balance the budget;
Promised to reduce prices of prescription drugs;
Promised he had made the world safe from Kim Jong Un's missiles;
Promised to LOCK HER UP!
Promised to make Mexico pay for that wall;
Promised to release his tax returns;
Promised to cut the number of tax brackets, repeal the alternative minimum tax,eliminate the carried interest loophole, and allow individuals to deduct health care insurance premiums from taxes.

@ElwoodBlues So how many things has Biden accomplished in his first year in office. I see he shut down the borders to truckers and is trying to start a war with Russia but what other great and shiny things has he accomplished?
@hippyjoe1955 In his first year, Biden managed to convince hundreds of thousands of idiotic anti-vaxxers to die trying to own the democrats!
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues In his first year, slo joe killed hundreds of thousands by ignoring science, and relying on party first politics
@sunsporter1649 Science says take the vaccine. It wasn't Biden or Trump who ignored that science! Oh, but the cartoonist who does your thinking for you ignored it, didn't he??

@ElwoodBlues do you remember all the talking heads who predicted war w North Korea , another Great Depression , etc.. before Orange even took office?
None of that happened, but there have been presidents who did start war and made the depression.
Wouldn’t common sense dictate they are worse?
@AthrillatheHunt Honestly, I don't pay much attention to talking heads - I'm much more of a reader. However, among talking heads I do remember the guy who
Promised a tax cut that pays for itself;
Promised to replace Obamacare with something better and cheaper that covers everyone;
Promised a trillion dollars worth of infrastructure spending;
Promised "We're going to see economic growth of 4, 5 & maybe 6%!";

@ElwoodBlues Experts? Professional Historians? Really?
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Oster1 Wormwood is here for comedic relief only. No one can ever take him serious.
@Oster1 Yep. What do you know about the administrations of Buchanan or Andrew Johnson? Not much. How do you find out? You read what historians wrote!

Or maybe you just look at a bunch of facebook memes, but I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here.
Oster1 · M
@ElwoodBlues I respect, your benefit of doubt. I do not respect your complacency of believing, in the absolute facts, graphs included. I'm searching common grounds, with you though! 😊
@Oster1 I do have some scientific training, and actually it's discipline of skepticism. So it's not that I "believe" in the graphs, it's just that the graphs I post are what I find to be the best and most believable data available.

So if you want to tell me I should disregard all the data from the various scientific establishments, I'm compelled to ask what data I should rely on. And if your start talking "follow the money" I'm compelled to ask whether you think all those people in all those scientific establishments are part of some giant conspiracy. It's really not a matter of my belief, it's a matter of trying to minimize my skepticism.

@ElwoodBlues There are three kinds of lies.....lies, damned lies, and statistics
@sunsporter1649 Translation: you have nothing but cartoons to back up your claims! SAD!!!
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues And that from someone who believes everything the government shovel's down your throat. sad
Oster1 · M
@ElwoodBlues Your reply, is very "worldly". I do understand what you are saying but yes, IMO, there has been a conspiracy.
@Oster1 My experience of conspiracies is that the bigger they are the sooner they break. I'm skeptical of any claims of conspiracy involving thousands of people.

For example, some people claim the US death figures are lies. But deaths are collated by county medical examiners, and we have thousands of counties. And the counties report the numbers to the state Depts of health, who report county & state totals. If the states lie about what the counties said, the counties can see it. Same thing when states report deaths to the CDC.

So if you're gonna propose a conspiracy of death counts, you need hundreds or thousands of counties to be in on it. I'm highly skeptical that any such leakproof giant conspiracy could exist. That's just one example, but most conspiracy theories require large leakproof conspiracies.

@ElwoodBlues Once again, I respect your opinion. There are opinions by many respected Scientific minds, that have been censored by High Tech. May I lead you to a five hour symposium, by leading Scientists, that was not covered, from Senator Ron Johnson's, Senate hearing today on CSPAN!
@Oster1 You may lead me, but be forewarned that I much prefer reading to watching talking heads. I can read 3X faster than they can talk, and I can skim to the important parts far faster than that. So I'm not gonna sit thru 5 hours of talking heads, but if they have a publication and it has data, I'm all eyes.

@ElwoodBlues This was a huge awakening, in many people's mind. Perhaps. a peruse, if only the highlights, are in order. I try to keep an open mind.😊
