DirecTV Removes Conservative News Network in Blow to Free Speech

"The largest satellite provider in the United States said late Friday it will drop One America News, a move that could financially cripple the rightwing TV network known for fueling conspiracy theories about the 2020 election.

The announcement by DirecTV, which is 70% owned by AT&T, comes three months after a Reuters investigation revealed that OAN’s founder testified that AT&T inspired him to create the network. Court testimony also showed that OAN receives nearly all of its revenue from DirecTV."

So...they had a contract, the contract was not renewed. Likely because of lack of revenue. Or because probable damage to image, also resulting in the lack of revenue.
If you have directtv you can also not renew your contract with them upon expiration.
See, capitalism at work. You have a problem with that?

@ididntknow so, you would be happy dictating to communication corporations what shows they can carry. What channels they must televise.
And who dictates that? The government? What happened to "my freedum". Or is that just for the "right" people?
Or do you think the deep state controls what you watch now?
If aon is such a powerful voice, I feel certain they will land on their feet. If the are just only a loud voice, which they are, it may just be more difficult for them.
That's what happens when you have a product that is increasingly hard to peddle.
