Not every Republican is curtsying to Mar-A-Lago

South Dakota Senator Thune announced he is running for re-election.

I know a lot of people are happy to see peopls leaving the GOP in rejection of Trump support. I'm not a fan of the GOP by any means. But if you really think Trump's influence in the GOP is a bad thing. Then they really out to consider what they are wishing for. For every anti-Trump Republican that leaves, the GOP moves closer to Trumpism. It doesn't help to weaken the GOP or Trump. It strengthens both. If you dislike the traditional GOP amd Trump both? You should also reconsider because the fracture weakens both.

Really, having no Trump dissenting Republicans left in the GOP only serves to empower the GOP's Trump faction. They own the party unopposed.
