Why is the uprising of 1/6/21 worse than the months of rioting in the Northwest?

The BLM and Antifa rioters destroyed federal buildings during months of rioting. The capital uprising lasted less than a day. Why is it worse?

Because the George Floyd riots were exaggerated by right wing media. Much of the violence was by right wing gangs or the cops themselves. The Portland mayor authorized the use of tear gas for “riots,” so the cops conveniently declared every demonstration to be a “riot” even if it was peaceful. It’s amazing what you learn talking to people who were there instead of just repeating what you hear on Tucker Carlson.

Also, those demonstrations were in response to police brutality while 1/6 was an attempt to undo a legitimate election. 1/6 was an attack on our system of government, not just one aspect of it.

Would you have a different view of 1/6 if Trump had won and it was Biden supporters who rioted?

@LeopoldBloom Ah, so you approve of police shooting unarmed mostly peaceful protester's, as long as they are conservative, right?
@sunsporter1649 If they break into a government building, yes.

So you approve of protesters attacking cops as long as they're conservative, right? Around 160 cops were injured on 1/6 by your brothers.

@MarmeeMarch Did the left wing media stage 1/6?

@LeopoldBloom No, the fbir, with the help of pelosi refusing assistance from DC Police and the National Guard, did

@sunsporter1649 Even you don't believe that. If you did, you'd be furious with the Republicans, including Trump, who don't want the events of that day investigated.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@LeopoldBloom Then why has not a subpoena of pelosi's phone and email records, as well as the surveillance video's, been issued?
@sunsporter1649 They wouldn't need a subpoena to see those, dummy.

If it was Democrats behind the riot, why doesn't Bannon want to testify to that?

@LeopoldBloom "As the U.S. Capitol building came under siege, House Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving sought approval from Pelosi to dispatch the National Guard in an episode confirmed by the speaker’s office to The New York Times. Four days later, former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund, who resigned his post in the riot’s aftermath, told the Washington Post it was far from the first time National Guard reinforcements were requested. In fact, Sund told the paper the request was made six times.

Sund said Irving, overseen by Pelosi, thought the guard’s deployment was bad “optics” two days before the raid. Pelosi and House Democrats had previously condemned the presence of federal troops in the nation’s capital to quell the sustained insurrection of left-wing anarchists. A month later, the Daily Caller reported Irving’s discussions with the speaker’s office were factors in his “blender of decision making,” citing three sources familiar with Irving’s talks with the House Administration Committee.

Only one side has handed over the relevant documents to Republican investigators to support their claims. It isn’t those subservient to Pelosi.

In a letter to the speaker on Monday, House Republicans independently probing the Capitol riot outlined at least four times last year that House deputies under Pelosi’s command denied requests to review documents shedding light on the security decisions of Jan. 6.

“There is irony in the fact that at the same time House Democrats are holding witnesses in criminal contempt of Congress for raising genuine questions of legal privilege,” wrote Illinois Rep. Rodney Davis, “you continue to obstruct Republican access to House records relating to the security preparedness of the Capitol complex.” "
@sunsporter1649 Since Sund was fired for failing to provide adequate security, I'm not sure he's the best source. Of course he's going to blame someone else. Your quote mentions the Washington Post, the New York Times, and the Daily Caller (LOL).

The decision was made to not have the Army provide security, out of concern that it would look bad to have them shoot American citizens. Although, if Trump had won and it was Biden supporters rioting in the Capitol, you would have applauded if that had happened.

@sunsporter1649 OK, so Pelosi miscalculated the need for law enforcement. That's like blaming the Portland police for the demonstrations in that city. The guilty parties on 1/6 were the people who instigated the riot, just like you blame the instigators for what happened in Portland. At least try to be consistent.

Also, Pelosi's miscalculation doesn't excuse the orange shitgibbon, who sat on his ass watching the tube for 2 hours while everyone around him begged him to tell the rioters to back off.

@LeopoldBloom More bullschiff from a stanch pmsnbc viewer, the President tweeted 21 minutes after the event started. Quit watching and paying attention to cheny, she is as full of bullschiff as pelosi.

"As a violent pro-Trump mob stormed the Capitol and sent lawmakers scrambling for their lives, Trump tweeted at 2:38 p.m. ET that day: “Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!” The tweet came 20 minutes after Trump supporters were smashing through windows and evacuations of lawmakers had begun."

Even your left-wing nut-job press says cheny is full of bullschiff
@sunsporter1649 When his minions didn’t listen to him, why didn’t he send in the National Guard as his daughter, Hannity, and others asked? When McCarthy asked him to intervene, why did he say “Maybe they’re more upset about the election than you are, Kevin?”

At least you’re admitting that the rioters were Trump supporters and not “antifa,” so there’s progress. Hard to keep blaming boogeymen when the rioters themselves are saying why they did it.

@LeopoldBloom President Trump is not in charge of Capital Building security, guess who is....
@sunsporter1649 Trump could have sent in the National Guard.

Pelosi doesn't supervise the Capitol Police directly.

Your guy let it happen because he knew it was his last chance to overturn the election he lost. Trump deserves the firing squad.

@LeopoldBloom More bullschiff from a left-wing nut-job marxist. Don't you get tired of spewing such crap?
@sunsporter1649 More Bannon from a right-wing Nazi. Don't you get tired of playing the perpetual victim? Poor you, you're so oppressed.

@LeopoldBloom Absolutely not! Those idiots should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, no matter who they supported. I just object to the lefties that keep saying Trump told them to do it with no proof to back up their claims. They seem to be going on the old maxim, " If you repeat a lie often enough, some people will believe it"
@fanuc2013 [media=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbak304MA6g]
@fanuc2013 Let's see what the 1/6 commission and the DOJ come up with before we exonerate Trump. It is interesting how many of the rioters believed they were doing what Trump wanted. They didn't get that idea from nowhere. It's not like Trump conceded and wasn't bleating about "fraud" even before he lost the election.

If you tell a child that sticking a fork in an electrical outlet is "fun," and then you hand them a fork and say "look, there's an outlet," aren't you at least somewhat responsible for what happens? And if the kid does stick the fork in the outlet, and you stand there for two hours watching them without doing anything, how is that OK?
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@LeopoldBloom LOL, and you agree about the results of the 2016 elektion, right?
@sunsporter1649 Absolutely. Trump lost the popular vote in 2016, but won the obsolete slave-era relic of the EC that we're stuck with. Which is why I support the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.
