One was a "horrifying insurrection" that led to an Air Force veteran being murdered by a DC cop, and several arrests...though no one has actually been charged with insurrection.
The other was a series "mostly peaceful" protests that led to several murders and billions in damages across the country.

@MarmeeMarch from what I saw in John Sullivan's video, Ashli Babbitt was just standing there. The cop pointed his gun through the window and fired. There were others around, so I don't know why she was singled out.

@BizSuitStacy and that will never be publicaly answered
BizSuitStacy · M
@SW-User Bingo. AG Garland avoided the question like the plague.
LeopoldBloom · M
@BizSuitStacy One sought to overthrow the government, while the other sought to reform the police.
redredred · M
@LeopoldBloom I believe Antifa and BLM set up their own government during the riots. Not much different in intent.
BizSuitStacy · M
@LeopoldBloom You must think "police reform" involves locking law enforcement in a building and attempting to set it on fire.
By the way...what was your Antifa buddy John Sullivan and CNN's Jade Sacker doing inside the Capitol that day? He took video of Ashli Babbitt's murder. And stupidly didn't delete the footage of them cheering about how they managed to get in. Any explanation as to why THOSE TWO weren't arrested?
What about Ray Epps? You know....the FED who is seen on video at least 4 times recruiting people to storm the Capitol with him. Why wasn't he arrested? What wouldn't AG Garland answer that question?

@MarmeeMarch I’m not sure there’s a good reason not to fear a destructive riot irrespective of ones ethnicity but then, I don’t see the world through a racial lens.

@MarmeeMarch You wrote,
“ And Whitey feared the BLM Supremacists as much as the riots.”
Don’t claim I brought up race when you mentioned “Whitey”
I understand you may have forgotten what you wrote since most of what you write is so forgettable.

@MarmeeMarch So you agree you were wrong when you accused me of bringing up race first.

@BizSuitStacy Fuck around and find out. Commit treason and I don't care if you are a 4 star general. They violated their oath and were a disgrace to the uniform. And shooting someone attempting a coup is not murder. It is an appropriate response.
The others were property damage on empty buildings at night. Grow up.

Treason? Ooooooooo. Reductio ad absurdum much? The link below includes the 550ish people arrested, including the list of charges, for the J6 incident. I double dog dare you to find anything remotely approaching treason. Three, count 'em, 3 people were caught to be illegally in possession of a firearm (pistol). That must have been SOME insurrection with 3 whole pistols.

And no...the buildings attacked during the BLM protests were not always empty. Stop with the blatant lies.

@BizSuitStacy Because they're journalists, dumbshit. Did either of those guys beat a cop with a flagpole or take a shit on Pelosi's desk?
There are around 2000 more people who need to be arrested. What's interesting is how the ones who were arrested are being treated with kid gloves. It's nice to be white.

@BizSuitStacy Many of the violent Portland protesters have been charged with crimes. But you wouldn't know that if your only source of information is Tucker Carlson.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@LeopoldBloom "As the Biden administration has taken the reins of the Department of Justice, the feds have dismissed dozens of charges against violent rioters in Portland, Oregon.
They have dropped charges such as assault on a law enforcement officer, arson, and other violent crimes.
Half of the cases in Portland were dropped with prejudice – they can never be re-litigated in the future. According to a local news outlet, federal prosecutors have dismissed over one-third of the pending charges from last summer’s violent protests in Portland, including four charged with assaulting a federal officer.
KGW found 31 of 90 protest cases have been dismissed by the U.S. Department of Justice, despite warnings there would be “consequences for acts of violence.” Others who have investigated say it’s actually as many as 90% that are dropped."

@sunsporter1649 So they're being treated like the 1/6 protesters.
https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2022/01/jan-6-capitol-riot-criminal-prosecutions-status.html
"There’s a good reason for the concern and confusion. Slate analyzed 733 total Capitol arrest cases by combining publicly available databases and reviewing hundreds of individual case files. The trend is clear: Jan. 6 defendants have been sent home to await trial at a far greater rate than the rest of the federal jail population in 2019, our analysis shows. And when it comes to sentencing, judges are generally handing out lighter sentences than what the government is requesting when suspects do plead guilty."
