I always find it hilarious that the people who refuse to wear masks, refuse to respect social distancing, and refuse to get vaccinated end up making a fuss when the plans to stop COVID aren't working. There's just zero self-awareness there.
There was a federal solution, but people staunchly refused to go along with it. Some people believe that freedom should be free, so now someone else has to pay the costs. I'm all for it though. The ways historical pandemics have ended were after massive waves of death, and humans are long over-due for a good culling

@TinyViolins Australia is an interesting case study. High rates of vaccination and very little herd immunity. Watch this space I guess 🤞

@SW-User Australia had been managing the pandemic a lot better than most countries. One of the lowest case and death rates in the world, but that was before Omicron. At this point, nobody really knows what's going to happen. I'm still rooting for massive waves of death
