Wiping off their fingerprints

I see that the Chinese Communist Party (Xi’s lickspittles), having destroyed democracy in Hong Kong, are now busily trying to remove any and all reminders of their callous behaviour in 1989 when they killed or injured thousands in Tiananmen Square

That gangster regime, led by corrupt and greedy liars, is China’s real enemy

@sunsporter1649 The Chinese Communist Party is destroying statues that remind people of those who fought for democracy, and who were murdered by the Chinese Fascist Party

Do you equate some American statues with memorials to all those who were murdered by the Chinese Communist Party in Tiananmen Square?

Tank Man (his real name and his fate are unknown) brings shame and scorn onto those (of any nation) who fear and attack democracy, given those tanks went on to crush students on the direct orders of the Chinese Communist Party?

Here is the true face of the Chinese Communist Party

@chibs That is alot of really dated cold war rhetoric very in line with Sunsporter's mentality. And I question anyone who claims the student protest in Tiananmen Square was as reported or about democracy.

Case in point pretty much every single one of the student leaders are now Wall St bankers and hedge fund managers.

And even the BBC has since gone on record that most of the coverage and the narrative at the time was bullshit.
@sunsporter1649 Just like the Republicans are rewriting history by not mentioning slavery or Jim Crow.

"The white people were so nice, they brought the Africans to America for free, and gave them jobs with free room and board!"
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Anyone who thinks China is "communist" either doesn't know the meaning of the word, or stopped paying attention in the 1970s. China is a single-party authoritarian capitalist state, which is exactly what the Republicans want the US to be.

@LeopoldBloom And just when did you free your slaves?
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@sunsporter1649 Probably around 2000 years ago.

How many slaves do you still own? Are any of them adults?
@sunsporter1649 Sounds good to me. Since 1/6, the Trump cult is basically a terrorist organization. You should all be sent to Guantanamo with the other people who want to destroy America.
@LeopoldBloom I would disagree on that one since the whole "China is capitalist now" argument is based on "because markets and reasons." By that metric Lenin was a capitalist because of the NEP. There is also something called market socialism which is how the Chinese system is defined. Also the idea it is any more authoritarian is also based on equally shaky logic.

I would argue the US already is, but the two party dictatorship creates the illusion it is somehow different.

@LeopoldBloom Ever heard of Malvern Hill? Stones River? Pittsburg Landing? Nathan Bedford Forrest? Robert Carlyle Byrd?
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow bullschiff by any other name is still bullschiff
@sunsporter1649 I see you still struggle with the English language.
Ever heard of Malvern Hill? Stones River? Pittsburg Landing? Nathan Bedford Forrest? Robert Carlyle Byrd?

Still pretending it is the 1860s I see.

the two party dictatorship? China isn't an authoritarian state? It's time to cut Kyle Kulinski 👬

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow bullschiff by any other name is still bullschiff.
@sunsporter1649 I see your English still has not improved.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow And that from a devoted follower of karl marx. Amusing
@Kwek00 The US is a two party dictatorship. That is objectively true. China is no more or less authoritarian than the US.

Case in point. The US has a tiny fraction of the population and has more people in chains than any nation on earth. The US has the largest domestic and foreign spying operation.

You don't seem to understand context.
@sunsporter1649 Not sure what Karl Marx has to do with your inability to spell in what is supposedly your native language.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow How is that "objectively" true? The US has so many people in jail, because of policy choices that were taken in a democratic fashion. That's not the same thing as a country that runs on an executive branch that just dictates what they are going to do for the next 10 years. Runned by a guy that is installing a cult of personality. 🤷‍♂️
@Kwek00 Umm no. They have that many people in prison because of the current president wrote a bill and because it is worth billions of dollars in slave labour.

And I see your entire understanding of Chinese politics is from the John Birch Society school of politics.

"It is different, so it is wrong."
@Kwek00 And I am sure every American voted to be spied on 24/7 by both the NSA and private corporations. And I am sure Gitmo is very democratic...oh wait.
@Kwek00 I remember something about glass houses.
