Should democratic states and counties pay welfare to republican states and counties

Democratic states and counties are in generell signficantly more educated and wealthier than republican ones thus federal and state taxes payed in by democratic states and counties subsidies republican ones is this fair.

Its a double edged sword. As this redistribution of wealth is a form of Socialism, I would think the Republican states would refuse to accept the money. But on the other hand, the Democratic states as progressive really are obliged to offer it up. In the long term it is to their benefit not to have a basket case economy in the next state. You dont want that kind of refugee problem.😷
