Vegans are acceptable targets to mock these days but i've a challenge for all the meat eaters here: Watch and tell me it doesn't affect you.

[c=800000]"Most of us consider ourselves animal lovers"[/c]
It's called Dominion and if you can't invest the 2 hours then just watch the first section on pigs. It's one thing to hear about the bad, mean things that humans do to poor livestock but it's quite another to witness the terror and the pain of the animals as they're suffering slow, horrific deaths.
Tell me what you feel watching it.
Does it compel you to make different choices?
Does it at least make you want to make different choices?

I don't have moral or physical compunctions about eating meat or others eating meat. My issue is with the treatment of sentient, feeling creatures as inanimate objects. The level of physical cruelty is astonishing and the waste of life is overwhelming. It's not good for the environment, for mankind or for the animals. I'm not saying don't enjoy bbq; but there are ways to reduce and ethically source the foods we eat. There's no reason to live as a parasite just because we can.
@Graylight

I don't know how i feel about the idea that any meat can be obtained totally ethically but i also don't think humans are ever going to stop eating animals so i agree that the biggest and most upsetting problem here is the violence with which these animals are bred, raised and slaughtered.

Once cultured meat becomes cheap and available, I'll likely switch.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul Artificially grown meat is likely to be healthier, having NOT been exposed to excess hormones, antibiotics and pesticides like the feed lot animals currently consumed. After a little more research I might consider switching myself.😷
@whowasthatmaskedman

I'd switch over today if i could buy it.
Guilt-free meat? Yes please.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@NoahB Impossible burger is vegan, you can get it now in various frozen sections like Target. It's sometimes in the plant based section but sometimes not. You can also get the Impossible whooper at Burger King, if you taste it, it does taste like meat. You'll be fooled, just saying 👀
I'm not really surprised people don't want to take this challenge.
It's uncomfortable. You know what you're going to see and you'd rather not confront the reality.
I get it.
But steel yourselves.

I watched a video on farm animals by PETA and I can positively say that I was a vegetarian before that and I started eating meat frequently after I watched it.
Of course, watching animals being tortured didn't affect my appetite or my taste buds and while I do care about other living creatures, I like my chicken.
I dislike beef and all the other stuff and barely ever eat it, but I will probably continue eating chicken for as long as I can
@Nomad7

Why?
@Nomad7
Have you watched any of the video i shared? Does that make you want to eat more meat?
Animals should be treated humanely. So should Farm Workers.
@JonLosAngeles66
Not the farm workers in this doc.
@Pikachu how about the ones who pick your food?
@JonLosAngeles66

For sure. I'm not saying that people in general shouldn't be treated humanely at their jobs.
I'm just disgusted by the people shown in this footage.
Have a look.

They ll never see a trade from me that's for sure
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
@Helloeveryone A trade?
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Fact of life
@Thevy29

I think eating animals is likely an unavoidable fact of life.
They way we treat the animals is not.
Take the challenge i've set.
