Should "Gross National Happiness" be used as an important metric for countries governments?

That's what Andrew Yang was talking about in his campaign for President. There's really no good reason why we have to prioritize GDP. Even the guy that created GDP, Simon Kuznets, wrote that it was a terrible measure of the health of a nation. It doesn't measure anything that makes life worth living or what makes a country great.

Yang talked about things like happiness, freedom from substance abuse, better mental health scores, clean air and water, and other metrics like that should be part of the national discussion. Because really, who bases any of their life decisions on what the GDP is?
@TinyViolins Yeah it seems upside down doesnt it

I'm a Trump supporter, but I always thought that if Trump lost to a Dem, I sure hope it's Yang. He was the best of the bunch in my opinion. I'm still in shock that the Dems chose Biden.

Same here. I thought the other side was going to at least nominate Andrew Yang or Tulsi Gabbard. You know, intelligent people. They at least had sensible, logical and attainable proposals. Boy was I wrong. I did however enjoy how Tulsi went toe to toe with Koala during the debates (0:00min and 1:40min)...

I agree with both of your choices, and the only reason I never mentioned Tulsi, is because she just seems too nice to be able to get into the swamp.
She sure kicked Kammy's ass in that debate. I noticed that Kammy did the same trick that Hillary used to do...

When your opponent slams you, just shake your head and pretend to write something down on a piece of paper.

When Tulsi made a great point, Kammy would reply back with something completely unrelated.

But either way, somehow, the worst president in history has been chosen.

I've been watching Tulsi and she's been giving clear signals that she's not a Democrat and may even switch over to the GOP. Anyone who's served, has earned my respect.

I could never understand why she was a Democrat. Nothing about her would lead you to believe she was. I guess that's why the Dem establishment hates her. I hope she does switch parties.
