@sunsporter1649 From a highly stupid and botched bait-and-switch program that never should have been approved and was discontinued amid high rebuke for all involved, including Holder. Doesn't make Holder guilty of murder; he didn't pull the trigger or order it. And what we are trying to get now is the same level of justice on the ransacking of our Capitol from people with evidence to provide, and if Trump and all his cohorts are as innocent as they say you would think they would WANT their day to provide the evidence.

@sunsporter1649 If that is where the investigation leads. Would have been better path if it had been the proposed bi-partisan independent commission, but then those proclaiming their innocence are the ones that blocked that path, aren't they?

@sunsporter1649 Back up, sunspotter. We going too fast here? When the independent bipartisan commission was killed by the Republicans, the House formed the current investigative committee. Pelosi asked for nominees from the Republicans -- she accepted those who were not suspects, but the majority of Republican nominees already were suspects given their actions on January 6. I believe it is called a death pill defense tactic. Those were rejected.

@sunsporter1649 No. What I said was (1) all of us would have preferred the independent of Congress bi-partisan investigatory commission that was proposed and was modeled on the 9/11 commission, but it was blocked by Republicans and (2) if Trump and his cohorts are so insistent on their innocence, why are they refusing to take any and every opportunity to tell their side of the story?

@dancingtongue Why do you care what the Republicans are doing, since your primary function in this "investigation" is to destroy any and all current Republican's and deter anyone who is thinking of becoming a Republican by illustrating what you will do to them if they go against your agenda?

@sunsporter1649 The investigation is into the instigation of the crimes committed on January 6 in the Capitol and -- as you stated -- the inadequate steps taken to prevent them. Let the evidence lead to the culprits of whatever party, parties, or no parties at all. The Republicans are only mentioned because they are the ones who blocked the independent bipartisan commission to take the inevestigation out of the partisan Congress, and the ones who are refusing to answer subpoenas and provide testimony.
