It confuses me why people associate leftism with both Islam AND communism.

It's fairly often I hear people describe leftists as being Muslim-lovers but also communists. Y'all do realize that commies and Muslims absolutely HATE each other. Communists have historically tried to wipe out Muslims.

@QuixoticSoul Its not true in Britain. They are more Auth left on that compass. They are often (though not always) socially Conservative but overwhelmingly vote Labour. Also, very anti war and pro Palestinian.

@Burnley123 Yeah, but perhaps they wouldn’t vote Labour if the alternative wasn’t quite so blatantly islamophobic. It’s kind of why Hispanic Catholics vote Dem in the US - strange bedfellows, etc.
