We have Texas on our border with it's steel wall of cars threatening and segregateing people-. Does the USA have a responsibility to reign in Texas?

Texas is that right wing extremism that won't stop-. Why do we let this go on?
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
they voted for that therefore that is what they want and chose. why don't you mind your own business? and don't move there if you have such an issue?
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@Lila15 don't like it don't go there 🥴
Stopmakingsense · 56-60, F
@DeluxedEdition you're pretending to be confused between touring and national politics to make fun of me. Liar.
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@Stopmakingsense i would never make fun of anyone especially someone older than me. and i respect but disagree with your political opinions
Well .. a bunch of left wing nutjobs elected AOC, Omar and Tlaib and nobody seems worried about reigning that shit-show in
@Stopmakingsense What laws, specifically, are being broken in TX ?? I see a lot of illegal immigration happening .. not clear what else is at issue.
Stopmakingsense · 56-60, F
@Stillwaiting it's not legal for Texas to pretend to enforce federal laws barring entry that don't exist.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Stopmakingsense Another one ignorant of 8 USC
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
Question for you: What is the purpose of immigration?
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 @stratosranger This strange new species of liberal are the biggest hypocrites in history. Pretentious snobs with no life experience who tout the hammer and sickle but wouldn't know how to use either one!
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@stratosranger They haven't the slightest idea what's going on, and the Bolsheviks would have slaughtered them as "incompetents" in 1917. So many of them waste their parents money on indoctrination rather than education and go cross eyed looking down their noses at working people.
@Oberon1 But then they’re the first to panic and scream, throw tantrums and go Karen when their soy latte is not foamy enough

Texas doesn’t want to turn into California.
thats what happens when you have a few elite rich, millions of poor, and an ever shrinking almost non existent middle class. Dont get me wrong, California has alot of beautiful places, but its overshadowed by scenes like this.
MethDozer · M
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy This is true but I is also worth noting that situation was engineered and designed by city planners in places like LA. It was an intended consequence. City planners specifically decided to create a slum area to send disenfranchised in an attempt to corral them into a single area. Even going as far as to bus homeless and the mentally ill to areas like skid row and instructing police to not allow them to leave whole also not policing those areas. This started back in the 60s.

Look up the history of how skid row came to be and the greedy corporatist policies that intentionly made this situation by treating people as an expendable commodity.
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy And it is because of the unbelievable hypocrisy of the pseudo liberals in charge there. They are the best examples on earth of all the things they claim to be against.

i seen yesterday a statistic that people outside of texas are a lot more in favor of texas segregating then people inside texas
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
By the USA, you must mean those two crime and homelessness ridden over populated areas on the east and west coast, and that bloody mess in the middle. Most of the country is not a bunch of pretentious coffee shop hipsters with no real life experience or moral compass, so the answer is a resounding "NO".
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Oberon1 Spoken like someone from under a rock.
"Don't mess with Texas" is not entirely an empty slogan.
IlovePeaches · 22-25, F
@MistyCee thought the texas state motto is "Friendship"
@IlovePeaches Lots of Texans are friendly people, but the motto still seems rather out of date.
@IlovePeaches Not sure about that friendship motto, they display their yelp rating on their flag. Are they just warning people what a God awful place Texas is?
The entire state should be arrested
Graylight · 51-55, F
The problem is, we were willing to die for our freedom and liberties - for those we thought we deserved them 250 years ago.

But it's like no one got the memo that we don't have to keep doing it every day.
nothing bad will happen to you in texas if you dont come into texas illegally. stay out of texas, problem solved.
wait - what is going on in TX ?
SW-User
@MarmeeMarch along tx border
@SW-User a 3 foot wall aint going to stop anyone - and better make sure you remove the hubcaps.

Soooooooo- what are they doing along the Rio Grande ??
SW-User
@MarmeeMarch That I don't know, nor did I say it was effective, just what they are doing which seemed a fair question
SW-User
There are ways to enter the country legally where you don’t get hunted by a horse 👀
Stopmakingsense · 56-60, F
@SW-User it's not illegal to arrive there. Liars who want segregation are clearly behind your cause.
MethDozer · M
Texas is batshit crazy buy if they want to build their own wall that's their business
Stopmakingsense · 56-60, F
@MethDozer really? I bet you can't even build a public restroom without an environmental review and permit from several government entities. The wall is not legal.
MethDozer · M
@Stopmakingsense building permits are issued by states and local governments. If Texas wants to do Texas it doesn't matter to anyone but Texas, they aren't trying to stop the Federal government from its role in immigration. They are just doing Texas shit. It's really making mountains out of molehill to worry if Texas wants to build their own wall. As long as it isn't on Federally owned land Texas like any state has the right to build whatever they want on their own land. They aren't closing Federal border crossings. They aren't assuming any authority over immigration by it either.
MethDozer · M
@Stopmakingsense put it this way. If you or I owned several acres with a 50 mile stretch that was against the border would we not be allowed to put up a fence on that side of our property because it faced Mexico? Or should someone where I am be breaking some imaginary Federal law if they put up a norther facing fence because it borders Canada? Under what sense would we not be allowed to?

Plus the fact is they and other states have been doing it for decades without anyone giving a shit before that moron Trump wanted to make a new Federally funded wall. The other fact being all it really accomplishes is creating a burden for their own citizens who live along the border and have to jump through hoops to get around their own towns. Fuck it and fuck 'em.

@RogueLoner that is a different topic as well that I could debate. Yet I only wish to point out your use of government works both ways.

It's the people of the US that have voted though that Texas is fighting on this issue.
