Are any Biden voters experiencing "Buyer's Remorse" ?

I voted for Biden in order to vote against Trump. I have no remorse at present. I am expecting A LOT of pain over the next few years. A lot of Trump's policies exchanged long term stability for short term benefits. The short term benefits are already started expiring and now we have to face down and resolve the longer term issues presented.

It's going to be tough because a lot of people are going to blame democrats for the difficulties and so the republicans have a midterm edge to claim congress. And I fear too many of said republicans are still held in the sway of Trumpism to bring any sense of unity or stability to governance. Their goal will be sabotaging Biden to make sure he isn't reelected.

@ViciDraco Which benefits are you referring?
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@sunsporter1649 examples include short term economic benefits at the expense of environmental policy.

Tax cuts that go largely to the wealthy while trying to cut social safety net programs and failing those cuts running up the debt.

Applying pressure to keep federal interest rates low, preventing economic normalization. If we hit another downturn, it will be much more difficult to absorb the economic. The best time to start a return to normal rates was probably in 2018.

@ViciDraco nearly all Trumps policies are gone, its Joe's now.
But I guess we'll Blame Trump
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@ViciDraco Many fools like yourself didn't like Trump so were happy to vote against their own self interests. Biden is a total failure any way you measure it.
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@Strictgram its the ole, cut off your nose to spite your face type thing
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@Strictgram how nice of you to assume what my self-interests are.

As a straight, white, cisgender male with a career that pays six figures I could very selfishly vote for Trump and take advantage of the short term and personal plunder.

As someone who actually cares about the long term health and stability of society while respecting the individuals and diversity that make up said society, my actual interests are very much harmed by not only Trump's policies but also by the authoritarian and selfish way of thinking he promotes in his followers.

Strictgram · 70-79, C
@ViciDraco No way were you harmed by Trump's policies. But you will suffer under Biden.
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@ViciDraco Doubtful Biden will be around in 4 years to run again. He'll be somewhere in a dementia ward.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Strictgram Having a clown for a President harmed US interests in ways you are not even equipped to understand - Biden is milquetoast medicine, but medicine nonetheless.
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@QuixoticSoul I don't know if I even see him as medicine really. It's more like not taking poison. But if the choices are taking poison and not taking poison, I'm not going to vote for more poison just because antidote isn't a choice.
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@QuixoticSoul I'm not equipped to understand? My guess is I'm a lot smarter than you. Biden is a demented, ignorant fool. If you can't see this you're the same.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Strictgram You guess wrong.

fanuc2013 · 51-55, F
@ViciDraco and the democrats were trying to "unify" and "stabilize" for the last four years? That's hilarious!
fanuc2013 · 51-55, F
@ViciDraco Biden ran on the premise of being a moderate and was going to unite the country, and it now looks like he can't even unite his own party!
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@QuixoticSoul Biden's medicine will make a lot of Americans sick. Anyone who thinks biden is acceptable is not paying attention or brain dead.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Strictgram America will be fine, your melodrama notwithstanding.
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@QuixoticSoul US won't be fine until you and American marxists are only a memory.
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@ViciDraco Trumps ways have all been reversed.
Sorry what you think its all on Joe.
And don't argue, I know.
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@Strictgram sounds like Nazi talk to me.

@Virgo79 trying to shut down debate with don't argue has to be the weakest "I have nothing" statement you could have used 🤣
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Strictgram What Marxism? I'm a happy capitalist. By and large, nobody on the American political scene wants to seize the means of production.

Like many of our local rightoids, you simply don't know what Marxism is.
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@ViciDraco well at least you didn't spew a hundred words trying to convince of something I know isn't correct.
Thanks
Don’t you love it when some of the libs here type out a whole novella of nonsense? Kwack is an example of that kind of explosive verbal diarrhea. I do enjoy informing them I didn’t bother reading it. If I enjoyed reading BS I’d subscribe to the NY Times. @Virgo79

@stratosranger good point😁
