Why do liberals care more about helping refugees than they do for veterans?

Just go back to 2008 where the Left supported an incompetent candidate who picked a segregationist as a VP over John McCain.

@MickRogers In fact, while I never claim to have supported John McCain’s politics, I came to respect him as a man because of the way he was with Obama, for example. McCain kept some of those GOP racists on topic when they were trashing his opponent’s race and ethnicity. And he did it at the risk of votes. I saw that as honorable, and definitely much different than the divisive policies of Trump.
