Is Texas vying to become the next Afghanistan?

Graylight · 51-55, F
Texans: "But the women of Afghanistan! Sharia law! You can't use religion to legislate! Women deserve freedom and liberty!"

Also Texans: "We should use outdated Biblical scripture to enforce our will against believers and non-believers alike and punish anyone who goes against us! Women can't be trusted with their own bodies and should be denied the right to make choices about them!"

Texas wants to be its own country SO BAD, but when their shitty power grid fails they're always the first ones running to the government for a handout. 🙄

They have all the arrogance and belligerence with none of the intelligence or humility.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@DearAmbellina2113 Well, to be fair... Ted "just trying to be a good Dad" Cruz did not run to the government for a handout to help others. He ran away to Mexico to keep himself warm.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@MarkPaul yeah which makes him an even bigger piece of shit.

What is going on in Texas is very troubling. I have conservative relatives that live there and think some of this stuff is nuts.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Peapod It's another excellent example of legislating against a problem that doesn't exist. We've got election laws to address fraud that never happens, we have legislation to address CRT, which is being taught in not one single school, penalties against all these trans athletes who have created no trouble whatsoever thus far and now we have the "save our babies because irresponsible women use abortion as birth control and wait 32 weeks to have the procedure" crisis.

Except that the majority of pregnancies are terminated in the 1st six weeks.
Peapod · 61-69, F
@Graylight There seems to be a crisis in common sense in some of these places. I feel fortunate to live in a more moderate area.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
Soon, Texasistan will be a white ethnostate. With its own failing power grid.
TheRascallyOne · 31-35, M
No and don't you ever say that again
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@TheRascallyOne You walked right into that one lmao - why don’t you just give up already, that’s a southern thing.
TheRascallyOne · 31-35, M
@QuixoticSoul never im a proud Texan

@TheRascallyOne
That's because they have the biggest base of the military in California let's face it most of them are tree hookers out there and don't have no real men so they have to borrow them from other places
Yet, in reality:

Marine Corps Sgt. Nicole L. Gee, 23, of Sacramento, Calif.
Marine Corps Cpl. Hunter Lopez, 22, of Indio, Calif.
Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Dylan R. Merola, 20, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Kareem M. Nikoui, 20, of Norco, Calif.

And some more reality for you:

bundle up!
I could see the US easily descending into a bunch of failed states. Red states do seem to be more likely candidates because of the high concentration of crazy.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow ... and insurrectionist sympathizers.
@MarkPaul Just one of many flavors of American homegrown batshit nuts.
Budwick · 70-79, M
Has Biden promised to save 90% of Texans?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@MarkPaul So, Biden won't commit to saving any Texans?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@Budwick No, at this point they are beyond saving. Just ask Ted "just tying to be a good Dad" Cruz.
@Budwick
Has Biden promised to save 90% of Texans?
No, he promised 100%, but the idiots keep refusing vacccination!!
SW-User
I don't hardly think so. And you won't get me to say anything bad about Texas or Texans
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@SW-User No matter what? Even when the Democrats take the majority in the State House and Governor's office?
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
It's already worse.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
Always was.
