Sirhan Sirhan is up for parole for the 16th time

But this time the State wont argue against his release, it's up to the parole board.... do you think he'll get out? He's 77 by the way.

He won't be released; personalities this identifiable and with crimes as memorable as his will preclude it. Think of the Manson Family members.

Still, he's paid for one moment with a lifetime of imprisonment. When do we say enough and accept that a debt has been paid? At 77 and estranged from the homeland that spurred him to action for so many years, what threat does he pose?

The Holy Bible suggests an eye for an eye, but that's a passage actually meant to limit the level of retribution any man is entitled to. Sirhan Sirhan took a life and its potential away. The state has done the same with Sirhan. And wasn't it Jesus who advised turning a cheek? Maybe it's time to call it a day and release old ghosts to the universe.

@RedBaron So he is. And just like that, he'll fade into obscurity. The next time we hear of him, it'll be news of the passing of RFKs assassin.
RedBaron · M
@Graylight He faded into obscurity by about 1972.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@RedBaron Yeah, that's pretty much true.
curiosi · 61-69, F
No, he says he doesn't remember that day. They don't want him out and able to talk.

GerOttman · 70-79, M
Biden will probably pardon him
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
@GerOttman Hes not in federal prison
GerOttman · 70-79, M
@FreeSpirit1 then Newsome will, they run with the same crowd.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@GerOttman Oh, yeah. "That crowd."
RedBaron · M
What's the difference?
RedBaron · M
@FreeSpirit1 It really doesn't matter to me either way. I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
RedBaron · M
@SW-User Actually, I believe a long prison sentence can be worse.
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
@RedBaron . Thanks for your input
GJOFJ3 · 61-69, M
He should not
JohnnyNoir · 61-69, M
Evidently there will be no prosecutor to object. Not sure about any Kennedy family members though
I sure hope not. Idc how old he is, let him rot in prison
theyll never let himout
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
The only way he leaves is feet first
bowman81 · M
I sure hope not. He already had his death sentence commuted.
Life in prison should mean life. May he rot in his cell.
bowman81 · M
@RedBaron No it isn't.
RedBaron · M
@bowman81 What made you so angry at the world?
bowman81 · M
@RedBaron I'm not angry with the world, but I don't look at the world through rose colored glasses either. I just happen to believe that cold blooded murderers should be locked up forever.
He should be let out because his name is so cool.

He's an inspiration to me so I named my kid, Billy Billy
doong · 56-60, M
You should speed up this Guy to death penalty a very long time ago.
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M

He deserved the electric chair. He should thank his lucky stars that he's still alive. Will he walk ? My guess is, "yes."
eli1601 · 70-79, M
No, but only because of who he killed.
beckyromero · 36-40, F
It's possible. But I wouldn't want him to be paroled. To hell with him.

He's the one who got caught.

There's likely a second gunman who didn't.
GJOFJ3 · 61-69, M
@beckyromero What second gunman? There was no second gunman
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
@beckyromero That was JFK wasn't it? I never heard about a second gunman with RFK
beckyromero · 36-40, F
@FreeSpirit1

Just count up all the bullet holes in the kitchen at the Ambassador Hotel and from what direction the fatal shot took place.

Then the LAPD threw out all the ceiling tiles and door frames that showed evidence of more bullet holes than Sirhan Sirhan's gun could fire because later Chief Darryl Gates said they didnt fit in filing cabinets.
caesar7 · 61-69, M
I hope not!
