Sirhan Sirhan is up for parole for the 16th time

But this time the State wont argue against his release, it's up to the parole board.... do you think he'll get out? He's 77 by the way.

He won't be released; personalities this identifiable and with crimes as memorable as his will preclude it. Think of the Manson Family members.

Still, he's paid for one moment with a lifetime of imprisonment. When do we say enough and accept that a debt has been paid? At 77 and estranged from the homeland that spurred him to action for so many years, what threat does he pose?

The Holy Bible suggests an eye for an eye, but that's a passage actually meant to limit the level of retribution any man is entitled to. Sirhan Sirhan took a life and its potential away. The state has done the same with Sirhan. And wasn't it Jesus who advised turning a cheek? Maybe it's time to call it a day and release old ghosts to the universe.

@Graylight Well, he's getting released. But life will go on.

@RedBaron So he is. And just like that, he'll fade into obscurity. The next time we hear of him, it'll be news of the passing of RFKs assassin.

@Graylight He faded into obscurity by about 1972.

@RedBaron Yeah, that's pretty much true.
