Yes, Lennin wanted to bring the state down but he also believed that his Vanguard elitism would recreate the state to move towards a socialist paradigm. If just everyone that wants to bring the state down, is a Leninist, then we can argue that the Taliban is a Leninist movement, Sharia4(fill in country) is a Leninist movement, the NAZI party was a Leninist movement, ... etc. Just wanting to be revolutionairies against the state don't make you Leninists. Poor professor who had to endure that kind of simplicities.

And Bannons appeals to traditionalism, don't really work with Lenins materialism.
