And he's playing it off like he's a hero. "Keep your liberty and avoid Covid!"
Except that's not how it works. Only those already hospitalized and experiencing symptoms within 10 days of treatment may receive it, and then it shortens the illness by about 10 days.
Hepatoxicity is a major risk of the drug. Hypersensitivity reactions may occur and in some patients, the drug can also produce an anaphylactic (severe allergic) response. Signs and symptoms to watch out for include hypotension (abnormally low blood pressure), tachycardia (a fast heart rate), bradycardia (a slow heart rate), dyspnea (difficulty breathing), wheezing, angioedema (a rapid swelling beneath the skin), rash, nausea, vomiting, diaphoresis (unusual sweating), and shivering.
The average time from FDA application to approval of drugs is 12 years. Remdesivir was approved in 76 days. Sound safe and trusted, time-tested and supported by years of evidence?
This is the best treatment we seem to have so far, but in no way does it substitute for masks, hygiene and prevention. This plan, which is only one DeSantis could love is: Get Covid, we'll clean it out for you. It's like treating chlamydia rather than just wearing the damn condom.

@Graylight Yeah, but refusing the vaccine and being afraid of masks (and "the Caravan" and refugees, the suburbs being eliminated) "the base" can feel like they are "owning the libs." With Remdesivir, they can suffer while taking up a hospital bed. Don't you see the "base" logic?
Ron is opening monoclonal antibody treatment clinics, three so far, to pay back Citadel for their 10 million dollar contribution. Citadel has 15.9 million shares in Regeneron. That stock is going up like a rocket, thanks to Ron, Gregg and a few more Governors.

@sunsporter1649 Oil is fungible, sporty - do you understand this concept and it’s ramifications?
Who am I kidding, of course you don’t.

@QuixoticSoul I understand fully we were energy independent under President Trump, not begging opec for more oil under this inept "leadership".

@sunsporter1649 You mean from the Keystone Pipeline that wasn't in operation during the Hidin' Insurrectionist Baby-trump reign of terror and wasn't designed to fuel America? Or, do you mean from fracking which was started before he started playing golf on taxpayer expense?
