"The base" is duped yet again...

Ted Cruz's campaign spent $153,000 (in donation money) buying copies of his newly released book in the two months after it was published to push up sales volume.

Rafael Cruz's campaign was quick to point out that Rafael had received no "royalties" from the $153,000 purchase, but that's not the same as saying he received no income is it? I wonder if that carefully worded denial hides some other way Cruz earned income from the purchase.
Did he think that no one would notice that he did that ? I guess he didn't learn much from his last minute trip to Cancun. Maybe he'll make another attempt at the GOP nomination for POTUS in 2024 ?
