You can not refuse treatment to anyone for any reason
fddlpej · 61-69, M
@ExperienceDLT they can turn people away like they did with the 11 month old baby in Houston the child had the virus and they had no place for her
independentone · M
@ExperienceDLT Sure they can, Cedars has a new policy stating if you don't have the vaccine, don't bother going there.
ExperienceDLT · M
@independentone I thought it was illegal fir a hospital to refuse treatment to a patient
independentone · M
@ExperienceDLT Cedars was busted a couple years ago dumping those who couldn't pay or didn't have insurance on skid row in the middle of the night. they did treat them, but they didn't want to keep them any longer than necessary
ExperienceDLT · M
@independentone that is some messed up shit
independentone · M
@ExperienceDLT Not really, they treated them, just didn't want to keep them overnight. If someone can't pay their bill, why should the hospital be on the hook for the cost?
ExperienceDLT · M
@independentone well they are supposed to help reguardless of a persons ability to pay
fddlpej · 61-69, M
@ExperienceDLT they are getting so many of the covid patients that they have run out of capacity and are turning ambulances away from the hospital. So now the non vaxxers are actually affecting other peoples lives. People who might have been in a car accident or are having a reaction from something they are allergic to.
independentone · M
@ExperienceDLT Do you work for free? Why do you expect Doctors, Nurses and Hospitals to work and not be paid?
ExperienceDLT · M
@independentone they get paid plenty and it plainly states on the wall of any hospital you walk into that they can not refuse treatment to a patient for them not having insurance or ability to pay so just because a bunch of greedy pieces of shit decide they want more money does not give them the right to devalue another human beings life or well being and if you think that is ok then you are a moron as well
fddlpej · 61-69, M
@ExperienceDLT isn't that what a anti vaxxer is doing when he goes to the hospital after being infected with covid and has to have a ventilator and is using up hospital resources and someone arrives in a ambulance with a heart attack and the hospital turns the ambulance away because they don't have any room for the heart attack person because they are overwhelmed with non vaxxers that have covid and have now decided they believe in science. Maybe they should not go to a hospital but go to a trump rally instead.
ExperienceDLT · M
@fddlpej it is understandable to be aggravated by people that refuse to get the vaccine and yes they are causing problems with the decision to not get vaccinated but they still can NOT be refused health care like it or not
independentone · M
@ExperienceDLT If you are a deadbeat who thinks they should be treated for free, then you are the moron. Very simple, buy insurance, get medical treatment.
ExperienceDLT · M
@independentone I pay for my treatment dumbass but you can not refuse poor people if they are unable to pay there are ethic laws idiot try learning something about that
