Should Hospitals have the right to turn away Covid patients from those who have chosen to be unvaccinated?

Why should someone who makes the decision to not be vaccinated take a bed and be treated from someone who has taken precautions and had a breakthrough case?
Shouldn't the unvaccinated just stay home and deal with this virus on their own?

The hospitals should take care of everyone regardless whether they are vaccinated or not. I am definitely for everyone getting vaccinated but we cannot punish those who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons or even those who do not want the vaccine.
@Jenny1234 some people who recovered from covid are immume therefore don't need the shot. Has this item gotten completely lost?
@Elevatorpitches Are they immune from the variants?
@independentone Well in my case I wouldn't know. But so now that u are on the subject what vaccine that exists now protects us from what form of what disease?
I won't catch/transmit GI covid from anyone and I love knowing that. Wish I knew more though
@Elevatorpitches I realize this is a novel virus and doctors are still learning, but I haven't heard any information about would a booster help prevent the Delta or Lambda variant from taking over? I would really like the government to be honest and give us truthful information. I can make my own decisions and actions if I know the truth.
@independentone well I sure don't know what almost killed me when I DID get it and why their attitude was shut up and don't ask questions, and why to this day I don't know what happened or what this shot is supposed to do for me now, regardless of new variants

@Jenny1234 right but if a hospital is short on ICU beds then they have to assess each patient and decide who has a better chance of living. It’s like everyone forgot the freezer trucks with dead bodies.
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@Elevatorpitches risk of reinfection is significantly reduced but not zero. Even if they have had covid, they should still get vaccinated
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@iamonfire696 them they take the people with the most severe cases; not just the ones who have been vaccinated.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@Jenny1234 I never said non vaccinated people shouldn’t be treated. I said if we were in short supply of ICU beds that having the vaccine or not will be a factor when deciding who should get a bed. Where does it say that they shouldn’t have the same access in what I have written.
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@iamonfire696 relax and don’t be so uptight. my comment is that those vaccinated should not get preferential treatment. That should go to those who need medical care the most. Vaccinated or not
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@Jenny1234 but doctors use that criteria on a situation of not having enough beds available. Vaccinated people aren’t getting preferential treatment but it’s factored in.

@iamonfire696 You know the whole "freezer trucks with dead bodies" was thrown in there mostly as a scare tactic? I say mostly because there were some semis with dead bodies. One night at work we were expecting a shipment of freight but then they opened the semi and all these dead bodies fell out. There had been a logistical error.

When the Hollywood style covid drama was supposedly going on along with tents being set up outside hospitals, independent investigators went out and didn't find any of that. Of course those videos got pulled from youtube cause they didn't fit the "narrative"

@Jenny1234 why shouldn't they be punished for what they are doing to this country? They are setting us back from opening up stronger and worst of all might be helping to keep covid around until it can mutate into something that the vaccines do not work against. Look at how much more dangerous the delta variant is than the regular covid. So maybe they should be punished for not caring about other people only what they want.

@CestManan where did you see the independent videos? I am sure fox news would love to show them. They are right wing supporters.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@fddlpej Was on youtube but have long since been removed.
fddlpej · 61-69, M
@CestManan I am sure fox news would have shown them. It would have supported their side.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@CestManan it actually happened though…forgetting what the news reports when you have people who work in these facilities that confirm it, is everyone involved in this conspiracy?
CestManan · 46-50, F
@iamonfire696 I don't know, I just know that so many people are probably in constant fear of something that probably won't even affect them.

Some of us have no time nor concern to live a covid-phobe lifestyle.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@CestManan I don’t live in the US where covid is running rampant but I have friends who work in Florida and Texas in the hospitals and this isn’t a scare tactic. It is very real. If you chose to stick your head in the sand and don’t pay attention hopefully everything works out and you are not affected by Covid. Even if you haven’t had Covid or known someone it had affected everyone. It just shows the ignorance you have.
fddlpej · 61-69, M
@iamonfire696 yes everyone around the world are involved in the conspiracy especially the over 4 million people who died for the conspiracy.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@fddlpej I know it’s just the stupidest thing I have ever heard.
fddlpej · 61-69, M
@iamonfire696 well give them time they will come up with something even dumber to say to support their theory.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@fddlpej it is hard to believe there are people this stupid though
fddlpej · 61-69, M
@iamonfire696 yes I always thought I was middle of the road for intelligence but with these people I am beginning to believe I am a genius and that's a little sad lol
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@fddlpej I just shake my head when I see the BS.
