@Trippin It's a property crime. Crimes against property commonly draw severe sentences because, well, there's material goods in question.

Crimes against children routinely result in ridiculously low sentences because kids don't vote and don't earn money. It's pretty twisted.

@MarineBob Prolly not. What got me was that... He was unable to obtain a paid for attorney. His public defender meant he was unable to participate in the legal system. Just cop a deal an move on. 🤷‍♀️
