Nothing to see here

Florida now accounts for 20% of the spike in covid cases. Gov. DeSantis finally addressed this surge by telling us did this is predictable and trackable and nothing to worry about. He's been expecting this and it has a life cycle and will go away. Done. Meanwhile, he continues to ban any mak mandates, fine cruise ships for being safe and demand that kids don't get covid.

Funny, states with high vaccination rates didn't have to predict this at all. This is the guy who wants to take charge of the country.

Death by DeSantis. What a way to go.

I’m amazed roads out of state aren’t jammed up 24/7.

After all people have seen and gone through

[@448576,Picklebobble2] Is the beaches. But he's really testing my need to be near the water.

Our numbers are way up, hospitals are full and biggest part of the people is from out of town
windinhishair · 61-69, M
[@2021,MarineBob] That's what happens when people don't get vaccinated. Expect much worse until all the unvaccinated get the Delta variant, and another couple hundred thousand die.
Doesn't this sound exactly like what Trump said at the beginning of the pandemic? Why doesn't the lives of his constituents ever enter into the decisions DeSantis makes?
Graylight · 46-50, F
[@619287,Jwalker] Yeah, I'm just assuming here that all the citizens who die or end up in the hospitals because this is just a pattern that's established are of no consequence to him. He's so ignorant he doesn't even understand those are his voters.

It's a sad situation.
And is sounds eerily familiar.
[@548295,Carla] He's walking in Trump's shoes. He should be well aware of what happened when Trump downplayed the virus. Why would he repeat Trump's mistakes? With Trump it was his ego, it was incompetence but DeSantis was witness to all of that.

It's funny how democrats can't decide if they should bash Trump or DeSantis
windinhishair · 61-69, M
[@20437,ron122] Easy decision--both are worthy of public scorn.
Graylight · 46-50, F
[@20437,ron122] Oh, we can. They're one in the same. Policy, not personality.
