I’m not a Trump supporter, quite the opposite, but I don’t know what you’re talking about. Trump still draws huge crowds, the candidates he endorses always win, his approval ratings are somewhat lower than they were even among Republicans but he’s still blowing all the other potential 2024 candidates out of the water, Trump is still very much the leader of the Republican Party.

@Pitchblue Oh yeah, I agree it shouldn’t be that way. AOC is smart, classy, believes in her cause, and tries to represent common Americans, whereas MTG is a cynical lunatic.
But how do most Americans actually feel about masks? Granted I live in deep red Missouri, but the news seems to indicate that even in blue states most people don’t seem to think they’re really necessary, and even among the ones that do think they’re necessary most don’t like them. So how much price do you think MTG is going to pay for comparing face masks to the Holocaust? Eh.

@JP1119 The statement is insane. She just insulted all Jewish people. Trump has given legitimacy to 100% bullshit. These statements don't need to be true or even somewhat reasonable, as a matter of fact the more crazy the better. The problem is these people are supposed to be running the country. MTG doesn't do anything but get attention, like Trump. Trump learned this strategy from Paris Hilton. No News Is Bad News.

You want a well thought intelligent and introspective response from an Orange Man supporter?
Good luck. Lemme know how that works out for you.

I’m a republican and I don’t want him to run, I don’t want such a divisive figure - it’s a practical thing, we won’t won’t win thru alienation.
@DownTheStreet But the party doesn't care what their voters want. They want power and will do anything to get it. That includes coddling Qanon repeating their conspiracies for votes. 28 Qanon supporters will be running for Congress in 22.

@Pitchblue None of that strikes me as unusual or unique; it happens across the political spectrum. The dems have their leftist Zealots, the republicans have their Q. I don’t care.

Trump, Trump Trump Trump Trump
We're not voting anyone even slightly outside that Demopublican box. Trump politics is forever.

You're fooling yourself. Trump has more than 70% support among Republicans

Ron DeSantis Will run for president
Hmm. I'm wondering if lots of Republicans aren't best thought of as sentient addicts, who at some level know that Trump is bad news, but just can't give up on him.
It's hard to say how many though, because to keep Trump happy, they pretty much have to pretend to be non sentient.

I don’t see how it could be a realistic hope, but then him becoming president at all didn’t seem plausible—until it happened. Virtually no one in modern times has been less qualified or suited to the job. And that his party wasn’t willing to hold him accountable for anything that he did while president was unbelievable. So if he tried to run to again, I could see them being willing to break the rules again.
@bijouxbroussard New stories of corruption coming out every day but the Republicans like Mitch, Lindsay, Ted, etc would follow Trump right back to Nuclear Chicken with N K, it just doesn't matter to them.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout they aren't going any where but given any other republican option only 24 million or less will vote for trump with the other 50 will vote for Amy one else as long as they are republican

They believe anything that comes out of that mans mouth. Let’s hope there is no way In hell that he gets back into office.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@Pitchblue I don’t understand it either. I don’t understand how they blindly support and follow him. They must all be short brain cells.
@iamonfire696 It's a cult. Very hard to understand anyone who defends such a despicable Man. Trump loves to be cruel. He loves to punish his enemies even when his perceived enemy is his own Vice President. The man is a sociopath.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@Pitchblue I completely agree with that.
