I have something i want to share with the folks on SW who are feeling unsure or nervous about getting their COVID vaccine.

It's an episode of the podcast Oh No! Ross and Carrie and it features a woman who has never had a vaccination in her life (and is very nervous about getting the COVID vaccine) and Dr. Paul Offit who is an expert in vaccines and viruses.

Dr. Offit does a great job of explaining what is and is not true about this virus and the associated vaccines without shying away from the mistakes that have been made in the past.
I think anyone can get a lot out of it, even if you're not vaccine hesitant.

Its not "mine" yet. When I find out what deadly GI virus almost got me gone last year I'll reevaluate my decision...
@Elevatorpitches

Yikes sounds scary
@Pikachu TY🤗

It was.

Now I'm fine. But GI disease isn't transmitted through droplets...lol

and also might not be prevented with this vac.

And people who got GI virus have a right to know what happened before getting innoculated for maybe something totally "else".
@Elevatorpitches

Well certainly none of the COVID vaccines will inoculate people against tings that aren't corona virus.
But i guess if nothing else, one can get a COVID test to find out if they have that.
@Pikachu Well its a moot question since the medical team called the police instead of doing their job like calling an ambulance, expecially when I got it IN THE HOSPITAL while there 4 something else.
@Elevatorpitches

Man that's crazy
@Pikachu No it was "abusive".

And it was probably a version of the covid from what I researched, but I never got too far learning what actually happened to me.

But to have the so called "preventative" pushed on me now...not yet.

If however, I am coerced, such as to be able to get a traveling passport, I might reconsider.
@Elevatorpitches

Certainly sounds like a traumatic experience.
@Pikachu nobody cared. But thank u for saying this now, it still feel very supportive!😌
@Elevatorpitches

You got it👍
