That has never been what the GOP has tried to do. Unlike democrats the GOP only wants people to vote once. Not vote early vote often.

Trump had the lowest minority unemployment in our history, and picked up their vote in 2020
graphite · 61-69, M
@Experienced33 And now, unemployment is picking back up. Wouldn't have anything to do with Biden pledging to raise taxes, would it?

Because the GOP isn't what it used to be. I'm glad they don't try and pass such a hateful law. People's egos have gotten the best of them, there's too much competition along with power and control issues. Laws should be passed that are for the good of everyone.

@graphite Well, I just look at who broke into the Capital building waving Confederate flags on January 6, 2021. And since I remember who was waving those flags in celebration back when Martin Luther King, Jr was assassinated, why shouldn’t I assume that the former are just as racist as the latter were ? The only reason the Confederate battle flag exists is because certain states were willing to leave the United States in order to continue to legally base their economy on owning human beings. So either put the flag in a museum where it belongs, or accept that you’re a racist, just like the folks who fought to keep owning black people as slaves.

Why don't GOP State Legislatures simply pass laws making it illegal for black people to vote ?
A GOP State Legislature, what’s that? I live in the Northeast.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
They don't have the guts to say what their true intentions are. They like hanging out with losers.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
You mean like those severely restrictive laws in delaware?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@sunsporter1649 Is the GOP in the majority in the Delaware state legislature? 🤨

Isn't politicking basically about beating about bushes? I mean, isn't their job to say things in a way that obscures what they mean?! It's why I don't really like listening to their ****.

That would violate the 15th Amendment to the Constitution. On the other hand, racists like you believe black people are too stupid to obtain an ID.
LegendofPeza · 61-69, M
@DCarey "to stupid"
DCarey · 51-55, M
@LegendofPeza Have you ever heard of a typographical error, aka a "typo?" You're far TOO stupid, brainwashed, and literal-minded TO recognize one.

Imagine if you were born as Black. It's not in your hand to choose your parents.

@ABCDEF7 Being born 'black' is not a negative thing. In fact there's great benefits for having melanated complexions. It's the being born with a slow-progressing/un-evolved mindsets that's a problem.
ABCDEF7 · M
@bijouxbroussard Don't be sorry for that too. We need to work to eliminate racism from the mindset of people.
ABCDEF7 · M
@QueenandCrown What type of slow-progressing/un-evolved mindset you are talking about?
Powderflask · 31-35, M
Where do they state black folks can’t vote?
