Why are the left majorly the ones that disrespect Martin Luther King's memory?

I remember during the BLM protests for George Floyd last year, there were rioters and looters during the period. Everytime any person who was against the rioting would bring up the fact that MLK peacefully protested, usually a member of the left will respond "Well, look what happened to him."

Are you implying that only the ones that commit no violence whatsoever are the ones that end up being killed in the end? I'm sorry, but have any of you ever heard of a man named John Brown? A radical abolitionist who used violence to liberate slaves? It's not like he had much a better result in the end.... 馃檮

MLK famously called riots the 'language of the unheard'.

These days he is seen as a secular saint but in his time he was seen as a controversial and divisive character, merely for being black and agitating for change. Obviously, he was much less militant than - say - Malcolm X but he certainly wasn't someone who white conservatives and centrists saw as acceptable, as they claim they do now.

Dr. King was supported by the African American community, by the white radical left of America and pretty much nobody else. When he died, his approval rating was minus 75%.

He was, however, on the right side of history.

So the very people who invoke his name to criticize the BLM movement, are the very people who would have called him an ungrateful subversive half a century ago. It's typical of Conservatives (and some centrists) to always support progressive causes from the past but always be against the current ones.

@sunsporter1649 of course, you are limited to one line responses as opposed to presenting cogent arguments that actually have evidence.

Are you paid for intellectually bereft one liners?

@deadgerbil Maybe Soros pays him to make the Trumpian right look bad? Actually, this would make a lot more sense than some of the other conspiracies.
