Before you think to type something like "BuT wHiTe LIveS mAtTeR tOo!", I didn't say they don't.

And yes, I know the organizer of BLM is a crook, and should be in jail for misappropriation of funds donated to BLM. That is also beside the point.

Do you think black lives matter or not?

Of course, my beautiful girlfriend’s life matters. She’s an Angel.

@DarkHeaven And more power TO you and her both. But everytime a police-involved shooting is made public, and it involves a black victim, there seems to be an increase in riots, stealing, and destruction of property right and left. I never grew up with such things when I was a kid - or at least my first thirteen years. Then came 1968 and the Democratic Convention and Vietnam protests, and the next thing you know, kids under 13 couldn't be out after 7:00 in the evening, even in the custody of their parents. To make things worse, our then-current mayor issued a "shoot-to-kill" order and said things like "The police are not here to prevent violence...they are here to preserve it." Huh? I didn't understand that convoluted sentence then, and I still don't today.
@MaryJanine I have no idea. I’m not political at all. All I know is that we are an interracial lesbian couple and we just want to be free to love each other and not be bullied or harassed. Her life definitely matters too. More than mine to me but she would disagree of course.

@DarkHeaven She would disagree because she LOVES you. In this day and age, nobody should (and rarely does) bat an eye at an interracial relationship. Lesbianism is your business and nobody else's, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone.

I consider myself a little more tolerant than most folks, because my sister married a half-Native American man in the late 60's. His British English blood (on his mother's side)gives him blue eyes and a pale complexion, but he has the high cheekbones from his late father, who was a full-blooded chieftian of his tribe (Cherokee). I grew up respecting my brother-in-law for the person he was, not what other people thought or said about him.
@MaryJanine My girlfriend is a quarter black, a quarter Cherokee Indian, and half white. Her Mom is half black and half white and her Dad was (he passed) half white and have Cherokee. She’s completely stunning and I could honestly just stare at her all day long. I’m very lucky to have her in my life. Thank you for your kindness. 🖤

@DarkHeaven You're welcome. I'm sure your girfriend is (to use your word) stunning. People think I am a little crazy because I am proud of the man my sister chose to marry. He has always treated me well as a relation and we have never had a cross word between us.
@MaryJanine Just means you’re a good person with a kind heart. Be well.
