So comparing the number of covid deaths in the US with the annual number of deaths by the flu in the ENTIRE WORLD in hope of establishing some sort of equivalence is just plain stupid.

You are attempting to say that since the US with <5% of the world population had less covid deaths than the number of deaths IN THE ENTIRE WORLD means that covid is actually no big deal.

Covid 19 is a global pandemic.I stated the number of deaths (550k) from covid in the US alone.
To which you replied with the number of deaths in the ENTIRE WORLD with the flu.

That's like saying Russia isn't a large country because planet earth is bigger.🤦‍♂️

If you want to make comparisons you would have to use the average number of deaths from the flu in the US ALONE!
It's not that complicated, here it is.

So the comparison you would have to make for the US is 550k covid deaths and 61k deaths from the flu. That's almost a tenfold difference. (Sorry, let me keep it simple. Tenfold means it's ten times as great)

If you want to compare GLOBAL deaths it would be 646k deaths due to the flu and 2.8 MILLION covid deaths!
