I genuinely wonder why people hide behind memes to make their point... like do they not have the confidence to express their position or are they so arrogant that because they found a meme that matches their own point of view they lazily think their (discovered) point has been made.

All of the people being like "Lets not let all those murderers and rapists out" as if thats what that 22% is, and not drug-related backgrounds, minorities, or some other type of person put in prison mostly for the labor produced. When even then, even if all of those were murderers and rapists, that still has to point to the culture of the US in some way producing them.

If yu ever saw a movie called "The President's Analyst" there's a passage in there where Severen Darden says the same thing..their system is getting more like ours and ours is getting to be more like theirs...so one day they will meet inthe middle.
