@cherokeepatti I think 80% of us are smarter than to be influenced by bias. In fact, we listen to the biased people with whom we agree, and the other biases are just filtered out.
@RogueLoner The media did not control this particular segment. It was on Fox, a young blonde woman who was ranting about her conservative ire when she announced that if we DON'T FEEL outraged bout this or that, then something or other. That was when I mentally tuned her out.
I am SO tired of the threats...if you don't feel a certain way, then...whatever. We don't have to take that...from ANYONE.
@Miklee02 I listen to it if there is no ranting. I can listen on my headphones without making a bit of noise to bother my neighbors, and I really do want to know what is going on in the world. But I turn it off the second someone really stupid appears and then drones on and on, or when someone wants to tell me how to FEEL.
@Miklee02 You are probably happier that way. I regard the news on my headphones as background noise...sort of like I regarded the constant yammering from my mother when I was a young teenager...🤣. I can tune it out, but I can absorb what I need or want. This unfortunate new trend is so amped up you know the opinion person had three espressos before hoping up and down in rage before the nation...
I miss the days when the news was read and not dissected. All day long it’s a different host every hour telling you their opinion. I think with everything that has gone this past year I have some kind of stress disorder from the simple fact that I can give 2 shits about most of the top stories aside from the pandemic and now I have a Swiss cheese brained president making decisions that affect my life.
