Well, it certainly seems prudent to be wary of some of the people at this point, but it's not just the Administration that's concerned.
In the bigger picture, I really think that's bigger problem, having a substantial number of people trying to influence politics by fear of "mobs" of angry people.
That should, imo, be a concern for "most sides," although I'm guessing it's not seen that way but those who seek only to advance their own interests over those of others and are willing to blow up others and the entire democratic system to achieve their ends.
Do you think Trumpists, anarchists, radical Communists and Antifa types realize they could work together to destroy the establishment and sort out their differences later?

@Pikachu Nope, not surprising at all.
The scale is alarming though, as is the number of people willing to use violence, encourage, give succor to those using violence, or just to excuse any of the above.
I do hope our leaders can try to paint a rosy picture as a possibility, but Trump's American Carnage theme still seems to be working to me.

It is indeed alarming. They believe Trump's lies and they think they're part of a revolution and people die in revolutions. Usually a lot of people.
I never thought Americans would behave like this. I was genuinely shocked.
Now i'm not going to be surprised if the Trump cultists carry on the good fight all the way to civil war.

@Budwick
I found that pretty crazy too.
But this is a different scenario.
This wasn't angry people taking advantage of legitimate social outrage to destroy or steal.
This was Americans who did not like the way democracy worked out.
Their man lost the election and i thought as disappointed as they were, that would be the end of it. Trump's desperate attempts to cling to power by saying that the election was a fraud would be dismissed for the acts of a desperate man....but you believed him.
Even after he failed and failed and failed to produce any legitimate evidence.
You believed him and a lot of people like you believed him and decided that it would be the right thing to do to desecrate the heart of American democracy by violently attempting halt the democratic process.
I found that truly shocking.
I thought the people would never stand for that or sink so low.
And thankfully those people are now getting what they deserve but it was still shocking.
