A delicate balance

Biden has all these plans/policies for dealing with COVID 19 and I guess to his way of thinking...stopping it. So if he goes ahead, changing immigration policy whereby many people enter this country, whether legally or illegally,how does that play in to stemming/stopping the COVID -19 problems-and alone in this country with the numbers we’re hearing daily on the new cases and the rise in the death toll? A balancing act for sure!

Infection rate in Mexico and Central America is way lower than the US. They would be putting themselves at greater risk if entering illegally
@Quetzalcoatlus I can only hope Biden and his administration understand that,

@soar2newhighs The new administration believes in science and facts. It will be a refreshing change from an administration that doesn't.

@windinhishair ... and human decency.
@windinhishair and Fauci will be in Joe’s administration? Good luck with that.

@soar2newhighs Yes, competence to replace Trump's gross incompetence and unfitness for office.
@windinhishair Well to quote a late friend God rest his soul...”let’s see how this shakes out”. The words competence and government don’t work together on a large scale. 37 years of it showed me that.

@soar2newhighs The current administration is living proof that you don't need to be competent to be president. However, there are competent people in government positions. Dr. Fauci is a world-renowned expert in his field of expertise. I would rather rely on his expertise than Trump's bloviating.
@windinhishair well we will have to see how the good doctor does in Joe’s administration.

@soar2newhighs I'm sure he will do fine. The first step will be to have a plan for vaccine delivery that the administration never fully developed.
@windinhishair Not taking one side or the other 37 years in Government service both military and civilian made me skeptical of politicians and bureaucrats.

@soar2newhighs I've worked with federal and state governments, the military, and private companies for 43 years. I've even represented the US abroad. I've seen good people and bad ones. Most of my clients have been competent and continue to be.
@windinhishair you are fortunate .
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@soar2newhighs That's because I choose my clients.
@windinhishair Again, fortunate. Military and Federal Fire Services didn’t give that option.
