Sounds as if you’re grasping at ways for the Right to be aggrieved, honestly, perhaps for the purpose of contriving a narrative that ignores both January 6 violence and (admittedly less sexy but equally impeachable) un-Presidential contacts with Georgia officials in an embarrassingly pathetic attempt to overturn a legitimate election.

Just sayin’...

@Harriet03 thanks Harriet. Since Trump double speaks I’m sure you can find a quote where he goes against himself in every word.

@Zeuro ☝️ this
@Budwick Trump had good intentions at his 'rally' on Wednesday morning when he invited a few thousand people to walk with him to the US Capitol building so that they could observe Congress in the Democratic process in session at that time, of counting Electoral votes. So did Rudy when he said "Lets have a trial by combat". I think that we missed an excellent opportunity to award both of these patriotic men, at the very least, a humanities award for setting such a fine example of Democracy and free speech for the entire world to see.

James O'Keefe's Project Veritas, who in case anyone doesn't know/remember;
O’Keefe gained national attention for his selectively edited video recordings of workers at Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) offices in 2009, his arrest and guilty plea in 2010 for entering the federal office of then-U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) under false pretenses, and the release of misleading videos of conversations with two high-ranking, now former, NPR executives in 2011.
leaked a video?

Oh damn, tell me more!!!

@EuphoricTurtle I can't even respect the grift because its so fucking transparent.

@CountScrofula I know what you mean, I wish they would put just a little more effort into it.

I remember when Project Veritas set out to prove that the Washington Post was fake news. I'm sure you think Veritas is good and WaPo is fake news.

So Veritas paid a woman to pretend to be a sexual assault victim of Roy Moore. She used a fake name and sent the story to Washington Post. Because Veritas believed that all sexual assault stories are posted without investigation to just ruin conservative lives.

Washington Post investigated her and found out she was using a fake identity.

Project Veritas is actual fake news because they do what conservative THINK liberal media does but doesn't actually do.
"Fake News" ALL news media ? "What you are seeing, hearing, and reading is not what you are seeing, hearing, and reading" DJT "Truth isn't truth" R Giuliani
That isn't censorship ? If it isn't, it was very effective with his base supporters. "Fox News has gone to the left, they forgot who made them, ME" DJT
Control the free press and you control the source of information to the citizens of the country.
"COVID-19 is a hoax by the Democrats to make me look bad" ? Just harmless 'Political Rhetoric'?
"We've rounded the corner and it's going away" Has it gone away ? It didn't go away for 384,971* people who died or for their family and friends.

@softspokenman He's against the left.
I can't wait to hear your version.
@Budwick He was against 81,000,000 people that voted for Biden and Harris. "Gimme a break guys, all I need is 11,000 votes..." ? ☺️

@softspokenman *USA FACTS - the fact that Google includes them in a search proves they are left biased.

Veritas, meaning truth, which James O’Keefe rarely presents, outside of getting lucky once or twice@OggggO
Focusing on not allowing his company to aid and abet Trump in inciting real world violence doesnt seem that shocking to me especially because they already made a Trump exception so he could violate the TOS in ways that other users supposedly couldn't.

Is it that Trump is being targeted that's so scandalous?

I listened carefully to Dorsey, and I would never wish to contradict you, but I believe Dorsey was referring to potential political violence when he said,
but this is going to be much bigger than just one account, and it’s going to go on for much longer than just this day, this week, and the next few weeks, and it’s going to go on beyond the inauguration,”
Unfortunately, he will only suppress conservative speech that might lead to violence...and Antifa, BLM and Iran and the Communists have a free ride.

@Stereoguy I am listening to Ari Fleischer on the news right now. He just put in a search on Twitter and the search was "Kill Trump". There were 112 references for "Kill Trump". None of them were pulled.

Project Veritas is an American far-right activist group founded by James O'Keefe in June 2010.
Hardly a reliable source

Dorsey looks like a hobo. He reminds me of Howard Hughes at the end, when he went nuts.
So they thought about the implications thoroughly. What's wrong with that?

George Orwell was certainly right in writing that the dystopian future, which is now the present, would look like this:

“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the party is always right.”

(I’ll continue for Orwell, since he’s no longer around.)

And then there was the post truth/Obama era where mankind used fake racism, “social justice,” endless leftist media propaganda, censorship, book burning, big tech tyranny, corruption, voting fraud and non stop virtual signaling to form a new world order, where a one world government technocracy changed humans forever.

The useful idiot looked down at his body which now had merged with a machine. A creature now had formed, where it’s immediate gratification was satisfied through a computer program called virtual reality. Not one original thought left in it, not one brain cell left functioning independently, not one individual freedom left for it to enjoy. It would now exist in a controlled state of perpetual bliss where no memories or real emotions were required. It would now exist to serve the state in perpetuity, it would have achieved what the state calls the perfect slave.

RIP USA

@therighttothink50 Trump’s White House was the very definition of the Ministry of Truth. His administration even invented the term “alternative facts”.

Face it: to you, Obama is Goldstein (he may not be Jewish, but he’s black, so that will do, right?) and Trump is Big Brother. Well, Big Brother is deposed and is hopefully going to jail, and the US has narrowly avoided an Orwellian future (for now).

Be thankful.

Yes they better cut the censorship out. They keep poking the bear . Then when it swipes at them the cry . You would think they get the picture by now

@Budwick If you really value your voice on a public forum, seems like you'd follow the rules. Lord knows, I am tempted to diagnose more people every single day - but I like it here.

Rules? Like, leftist concepts only?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Budwick I've seen plenty of chapos banned off twitter for much the same sort of nonsense.

The potus and qanon folk flew too close to the sun - the former especially has been getting away with it for years under the cover of 'world leader' status. But there are limits.

@Stereoguy how can the media blow it out of proportion if I got it from his own Twitter feed? The media wasn't involved in what he personally threw into the world.

No, when Kellyanne Conway was talking about press secretary Sean Spicer falsely inflating the number of people at Trump’s inauguration.

Oh, and deflection noted.

@SW-User So,... not even Trump.

Oh, and stupidity noted.

@Budwick what do you mean? I said his “administration” invented the term, not trump himself. That’s too clever for him.
So, they banned him from Twitter for that?

No, they warned him about three tweets that were interpreted as inciting violence; tweets he rapidly deleted. They then banned him to stop him from tweeting further.

Freedom of speech does NOT mean hate speech!!!!!!
Zeuro · 26-30, F
@SW-User technically hate speech is protected, but the issue here is incitement of violence and insurrection, which is definitely not protected

As Project Veritas has been found out several times in lies you'll forgive me if I don't take it seriously.
