It’s a bit scary.....

I mean it’s also an irony that people complain about totalitarianism 🤔 and don’t realize this is an act of such being displayed by a company to silence freedom of speech.. 🤔

The reason why I consider it frightening is the whole pen is mightier than the sword scenario.. 🤔 if they can silence a ruler of a powerful nation it’s a flex in their part.. that also leads to the ability to silence all voices in a way.. governing independent thought with what u can or can’t say..

🤔 to me it’s not the proper form of repercussion... but, it is also their site.. 🤔 I just question motives and intentions behind it......

@AuRevoir
We almost had hundreds of Congress murdered. This is no time for moderation but emergency action.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@AuRevoir Trump is not silenced. He has a literal press office lmao. Twitter doesn't have to host his rants, he's free to go elsewhere.
adorbz · 26-30, F
@AuRevoir it doesn’t silence him, he can still release statements as often as he wants. Just he won’t be able to use their platform to do it. He has to follow the rules just like everyone else
AuRevoir · 36-40, M
@Pfuzylogic I don’t see the correlation between Twitter being a deity like savior or judge for anything though.. it just doesn’t relate to this.. 🤔 I understand your frustration but I believe that’s a separate issue.. and these companies that are the platform for the pen.. 🤔 are up to no good imo.. 🤔
AuRevoir · 36-40, M
@QuixoticSoul 🤔 you’re missing my point and are talking about separate contexts.. 🤔
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@AuRevoir No we aren't.
Pfuzylogic · M
@AuRevoir
I am not sure how you inserted “my frustration” into the discussion.
donny is getting body slammed and deserved every bit of his chastisement. 😊
AuRevoir · 36-40, M
@adorbz again missing the point but also edifying some of my point.. 🤔 about how they are making a move to silence one so that they could silence others.. 🤔 I’m referring to a trickle down affect.. yes.. you can say there’s other options.. but if u take from one then another and another etc.... 🤔 viewing things from a broader perspective I believe is always more important than the narrow current impact of focus.. 🤔 so I question things..
AuRevoir · 36-40, M
@Pfuzylogic no I’m referring to you saying people were almost murdered.. 🤔 you typed it with the conviction of one frustrated and concerned no??
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@AuRevoir You've never had complete freedom of speech on any privately owned forum or platform, and if you become too much of a liability, any private business will sever relationships. That's fine - it's how it's always been. Nobody is compelled to publish your words.

Even around these parts 🤷‍♂️

Pfuzylogic · M
@AuRevoir
You might want to read up on the current news of the insurrection. You are missing cogent facts on what his followers did and what arsenal they possessed and the immediate threat to their (the Congress) life.
AuRevoir · 36-40, M
@QuixoticSoul quit isolating separate contexts if ur not going to talk about the exact point I’m making then why bother to respond?? 🤔
AuRevoir · 36-40, M
@Pfuzylogic Do u believe silence of a voice from a platform where you can help to keep track and monitor is more effective? 🤔 or for secret societies to go underground and cause havoc from out of nowhere because now they’ve made plans no one can predict?? 🤔 a variable can come in many different forms.. if u believe something is dangerous or a threat.. 🤔 why would u want to have less preemptive information and not more?? 🤔 if someone truly believes this then the rattle of a snake is a good reference for how it finally goes silent when it strikes, but the rattling itself keeps u alert as to its presence as a warning.. 🤔 why remove the rattle??
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@AuRevoir They aren't separate contexts lmao - you just don't seem to understand that freedom of speech means that the government can't arrest you for what you say, not that anyone has to publish your statements. None of this is new.
AuRevoir · 36-40, M
@QuixoticSoul nah it’s separate contexts cuz once again you’re missing my point and I’m not referring to pre established government laws.. but your given right as a. Sing born from a womb and possessing what nature gave u as a gift to do.. 🤔 and you’re the one who doesn’t understand that shit because you continue to only see one perspective which is your own.. 🤔
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@AuRevoir Nature gave me a twitter account from the womb? Because I've been to the Twitter HQ and there's nothing natural about a few thousand nerds cranking out code.
Pfuzylogic · M
@AuRevoir
You remove the rattle to cut off the head of the snake. donny is a national security threat that can no longer be considered President.
Joe Biden is President come January 20 no matter what trump and his allies and sympathizers propagate. He should have been doing his job but instead played golf and lead an insurrection.
I think Joe said it succinctly.
“You are fired!”

@Pfuzylogic I mean... 🤔 in niche circumstances it is possible... 🤔 so I do partially agree with you but it’s not a guarantee of you believe that somethings a threat quieting it down makes it any less deadly or likely to strike... you at that point convince yourself that a storm has passed etc.. 🤔 so idk..

@AuRevoir
I personally feel less threatened with trump’s account permanently terminated at Twitter.
It makes a statement of intolerance for his personal political agenda. In the TOS I am sure that endangering a country is listed.

@AuRevoir These sites don't want to give voice to people who are inciting violence and using them for nefarious purposes. It's the same reason Twitter and Facebook banned ISIS groups, that were recruiting young people to their propaganda. It's a question of either allowing absolutely anything in the name of free speech and potentially causing harm or weighing the risks and banning people who are misusing their platform to negatively influence people.
AuRevoir · 36-40, M
@Pfuzylogic Which is good.. But at the same time imagine the scenario where no one had any idea what a person was plotting planning.. all was revealed to you because it was allowed.. u do get the comfort of feeling safe and maybe that’s okay.. 🤔 but if you knew someone you believed was planning to do bad things have it exposed like that for them to be prevented or to just surprisingly do them because no one was aware in the first place to prevent it... 🤔 idk in my personal point of view I believe this all to be more in his favor than not.. and I also believe it to be in the companies that run its favor as well.. 🤔 they have now given him more power... they have now hit a hornets nest themselves etc... because he still has those followers.. idk.. it’s just more drama and future trouble that I see.. humans can’t get along,, 🤔 we are all too different and all too the same..
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@AuRevoir When I make a forum - you don't have any sort of natural right to express yourself however you want on it, you have exactly as much leeway as I give you, and if you don't like that, you're free to leave. It's the same way with Twitter, SW, etc. This shit is literally private property. The freeze peach argument is completely asinine in this context.

@AuRevoir
The FBI is currently tracking down the criminals that participated in frightening our Congress. He has his podium on Twitter removed which had multi millions of followers. Pelosi is capturing his ability to launch nukes and SDNY has something special waiting for him once he leaves office.
He lacks the ability to serve our country and so he will be served by the courts himself.
AuRevoir · 36-40, M
@Pfuzylogic 🤔 I guess time will tell now how the rest unfolds..
