This shouldn't be a question under "Politics." Whether someone decides to get vaccinated is NOT a political issue. It's a "Community" or "Health" issue.
SW-User
@Archtiger Of course it's been politicized. AND IT SHOULDN'T BE. That's my point. Why feed into that idiotic garbage for crying out loud.
Archtiger31-35, M
@SW-User I didn鈥檛 realize that the groups on this site had such lasting ramifications upon others.
SW-User
@Archtiger This site breeds Sheeple.
NorthwestM
It's going to be a while for me, as I'm not in any of the high risk groups, and I am not a frontline worker, but yes, I will get the vaccine when it becomes available to me.
SW-User
@Northwest You wrote exactly what I was thinking when I saw the question.
SW-User
I don't qualify to be given the vaccine in the first round. When it eventually becomes available to me, I'll take it.
You lot are all fucking hilarious. Most of you don鈥檛 understand what goes in a tin of soup, never mind a vaccine.
Probably not, I understand they鈥檙e going to healthcare workers first. And I鈥檓 still under 65, so I miss that group, too. But when I can, I will.
Frank5270-79, M
In the UK it has been decided that the elderly in care homes will be the first to get it as they at most risk of death from it.

My age group is in 5th position after other groups including health and other key workers.
BackyardShaman61-69, M
Probably not, I鈥檓 not a health care worker I鈥檒l take it when I鈥檓 offered it. Age puts me at risk

@seeandhear I agree.
ninalanyon61-69, T
What the definition of first round?

Anyway at 65 I'm probably somewhere near the middle of the queue so it's not likely to be available to me for several months. Time enough to see if the clinical trials missed anything.
No, because I am not a health worker on the front line and have no serious health issues that make me especially vulnerable.

A while ago. I thought I'd be one of the first to accept vaccination as soon as it was available.

But now I've decided to wait. I live in an area where there are no cases and my lifestyle is rural with very little contact with others. I now think I'd like to watch and see just how effective and safe this vaccine turns out to be on a scale of millions.

But I'm pretty sure I will get vaccinated eventually. I've had almost every other vaccination, and it's always worked well for me.
ArtieKatM
Although I'm over 65 and with mild diabetes I will be quite a long way down the list of eligibility - but I won't hesitate to accept when I'm offered it.

adorbz26-30, F
they鈥檙e gonna go through vulnerable categories before they get to me
SW-User
No not in the top priority. I'm in the last priority group of phase 1 in the UK so around March presumably, depending on whether other vaccines get approved here as well as the Pfizer / BioNTech one.
kentex35100+, M
I will take the vaccine as soon as it's available to my group. That would be the very healthy I never get sick over 65 group. Or when I see it's safe. Or when the VA tells me they have it in stock.
SW-User
I won't get that choice, the first round will go to the front line health workers and doctors if they want it.
But yes, after that i definitely will be.
SwampFlower31-35, F
When available to me.
I鈥檒 give it a miss..
Jeffrey5351-55, M
Probably be like flu you get sick for 3 days. But this one you get sick for 14 days
Jeffrey5351-55, M
@SW-User you took my comment seriously. It was just a joke. I鈥檓 not getting one
SW-User
@Jeffrey53 so add an emoji or something to say that. People read what you say and take it verbatim.

1.43million deaths isn't a joke

Is this better
IwillwaitM
Absolutely not.
CountScrofula41-45, M
What's funny about this question I mostly can't tell who is going "I recognize I will not be eligible for the first round of vaccines" or going "I'm a moron who thinks vaccines are somehow worse than Covid."
Archtiger31-35, M
@CountScrofula Couldn鈥檛 agree more.
alan20M
Definitely.
boobooM
nah, i'm okay with staying home for now... although, i can foresee the government forcing businesses to require customers proof of vaccination in the coming years.. 666, man's number...
Driver2M
No let Antifa and crew get them first so if something is not right no loss
SW-User
@Driver2 It's going to front line health care workers ...doctors, nurses, EMTs, etc along with nursing home patients and their caretakers. So, if there's something wrong with the vaccine, then I guess we'll all be screwed when the front line workers all die from it.
Driver2M
@SW-User yea your right sounds like a bad idea
James195661-69, M
I have mixed feelings about it. Not sure I trust it but I鈥檒l be 65 next year and in the higher risk group
Steve4256-60, M
Nope. I'm gonna watch and see how many suddenly go gray and start an addiction or brains.
LoveTriumphsOverHate36-40, M
Below 158 degrees fahrenheit? Hell no.
SW-User
@LoveTriumphsOverHate it's only that temperature for storage.
You're allowed 4 "transits" ie handling it briefly in ambient temperature. Transport must be in special package with dry ice to minimise warming.
When ready to use you thaw it to normal refrigerator temperature and it is stable for up to 4 days.
When you receive it it will be same temperature a flu vaccine is administered at.
SW-User
Probably not. Don't fall into that group.
rachelsj22-25, F
Nope. Let everyone else be the Guinea pig.
LAlexVM
Nope. I鈥檓 probably last but I get it.
MissTaken36-40, F
Highly unlikely because of my age
CountScrofula41-45, M
No I certainly won't be a priority.
